We went for an Easter lunch with my husband, toddler and in laws.
The restaurant has a lovely, welcoming atmosphere, the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Service was a little slow, considering the place wasn't that busy, but we didn't mind it much. Our son loved the pictures of the terriers and especially the Highland cow, so we had lots to look at while we waited.
The food was delicious and plenty on the plate for the price. There is a very good, simple selection for children, which is great for our picky toddler.
It was the first time we went, but definitely not the last. I'm glad we discovered this place.

It's extremely rare for me to give 5 stars to a pub so I can assure you this place is worth a visit! I've got a rapeseed allergy and most pubs will swerve me when they hear that but the staff here couldn't do enough for me! The food was amazing and the staff couldn't be more friendly. Even recommending places to go after we ate. Special thanks go to Ruby and chef Gayton and Nat for being amazing! Thank you we will definitely be back!

5 of us arrived for Sunday lunch.
The staff were very welcoming and friendly, we were severed by numerous members of staff and everyone one of them had a smile on their face.

The service was excellent and the food was delicious and the price was very reasonable.

Would definitely recommend.

Stopped here on a whim after visiting a railway nearby. What a good decision this turned out to be. Great selection of food for adults and kids. Good choice of drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic. I had the guest ale from a local brewery which was tasty.

I ate pie of the day, which was Chicken, vegetables and stuffing. It was delicious and a proper pie too, not just a pastry top. Kids meals came with a choice of beans or peas, as well as chips. Good selection of sandwiches on offer too.

Pleasantly surprised by the war memorial in the garden to a pilot who lost his life saving the village by using his Spitfire as a battering ram against a V1 bomb.

A great choice, will certainly think of here again if in the area.

Husband & I both thoroughly enjoyed our Roast dinners. Beef & pork were exceptional as were the rest of our dinner. Fantastic service even though it was very busy. Could not fault it

Loved our first visit here. The food is great & they have good offerings for vegans. Our roast was a decent size, & the staff were really friendly.
My only gripe would be how loud it can get, but it's not the venue's fault. Would definitely recommend a visit (or two).

Came here as a group of 6 with my wife and 2 other couples, our friends had been here before and said we should give it a go, I'm glad we did!

Very polite and friendly staff, dog friendly bar, great food selection, lovely open fire place in the restaurant, fantastic portion size and very reasonably priced I would say.

Will definitely return again if I'm nearby and will be recommending to friends too, been told booking is ideal as it can get busy and I would imagine that's the case, was absolutely rammed by 1pm.

We went in there for an impromptu hot lunch having been with out electricity for 3 days in the recent storm.
They were welcoming , the food fabulous a big roast and fish and chips , and I spilt a whole pint of coke over the floor and even then they were gracious and moved us to another table so our food didn’t get cold !

A nice farewell topped off a really pleasant lunch .. thank you we needed kindness and good food and that’s what we got.
We will be back

Co op is a lovely store and is better than tesco. Ridgewood has waited 10 years to have their own store in the community with the pub on site as well . Well done, co op 👏 👍 👌 😀 🙌
