Simply amazing though there's no game facilities for kid's but kid's have enjoyed the nature. The teachers and trainers has more room for creating activities for the training of the children.
Cheaper than any other sites. We haven't experienced any harmful bites from insects and haven't seen foxes around.
So secured and with a very wide space you have a privacy from other group.
Safe drinking tap are just all
around.
We've been using this site for morethan 5 years now.

Amazing piece of land for a camping or day trip. The building and facilities have been upgraded to an excellent standard.

Fantastic Scout Campsite. Brilliant campsite team who are very helpful. Good facilities. Lots of wooded areas. Great for hammocks and tents.

Son had Cubs camp and he loved it, great to explore, leant skills and have fun. Facilities are good for the group's to use.

Beautiful wooded Scout Campsite for Scouts, Guides and other youth groups. Modern toilet block with hot water and showers. Campsite is good for backwoods actitives, patrol or group camping.

Back to basics campsite which is also a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), so ideal for nature lovers. Probably the only campsite in the UK where you can hear wolves howling at night, due to the Paradise Wildlife Park zoo which is a couple of miles away. Bookings only for Scouts, Guides and other youth organisations including schools, via the site website and volunteers.

Took 23 cubs, quiet site with no on-site activities but that didn't stop us having a great Harry Potter themed camp.

Perfect for the kids. Organised. The woodland surrounding the campsite is very pretty and magical all year round.

About Hertford
Town in England

Hertford is the county town of Hertfordshire, England, and is also a civil parish in the East Hertfordshire district of the county. The parish had a population of 26,783 at the 2011 census. The town grew around a ford on the River Lea, near its confluences with the rivers Mimram, Beane, and Rib. The Lea is navigable from the Thames up to Hertford. Fortified settlements were established on each side of the ford at Hertford in 913 AD.
