We had a great time away here. Great facilities. We saw lots of different aeroplanes and helicopters fly across. We had a great time here, very relaxing the only let down was when a tent was set up facing us, with the campers taking photos of each other in our direction, loud music into the late hours, one night using a loud humming projector, torches that lit up our caravan until the early hours and the light even went under our caravan lighting the pitch up next to us!- thankfully it was for only two nights 😊 Friendly staff, didn't get to visit the on site shop as it was closed for cleaning each time we tried to visit. Met some lovely campers. Even had a power cut one afternoon but staff were on hand to cycle round to tell everyone they were on it 😊 Our two cocker spaniels had a great time. This is a much bigger site than we are used to but was easy to find your way around and enough space between caravans/motor homes

Had a last-minute trip in our TentBox this weekend and what a great decision it was. Lovely site staffed by friendly people, great play area and loads of room for kids to run about. Beautiful old trees everywhere. Our six-year-old made friends immediately and had the best time. The only thing I'd say is it would be worth a regular litter pick on the playground, but I'm not taking a star off just for that!

Nice site clean site, very friendly staff, all facilities well kept including toilets, showers, pot cleaning and laundry. Has disabled and baby changing facilities. Also motorhome service point, small shop, fresh water and chemical disposal points. A mixture of hard standing, grass with or without EHU. A twenty minute walk into Hertford which has nice shops, supermarkets and trains to local towns and into London. Been here for a week and enjoyed, lots of wildlife to see including Red Kite, Woodpeckers, Deer and Fox

Lovely site. Only problem was that they shut the facilities block for refurbishment so had a trek to the other block. Shut on the Tuesday.... Still shut when we left on the Sunday! Not great!

Spacious site, facilities clean and staff very friendly, happy with my pitch under a tree 😊 Hertford is a very pretty town with lots of walks along river and Hartham common, there is a big park, Ball’s Park next to the site which is fun to explore - lots of meadow land.

A large campsite with lots of spaces. Its well laid out so you don't feel cramped. There are lots of grass areas that have been left for wildlife. See a young Muntjac walking out of the trees early one morning. Lovely to hear the birdsong all day long.
The campsite is within walking distance of Balls Park that's well worth a visit. This is our first visit here but it won't be our last. Some Covid restrictions apply.

A large, well maintained site managed by Paul, Liz and their friendly team. The facilities are excellent, kept clean with plenty of hot water. The site is approximately 20 minutes walk away from Hertford town centre. Well worth a visit, steeped in history. Great countryside for walks and cycling along by the canal and river. The site is not far from Shaw's Corner NT property, the summer house and later full time home of George Bernard Shaw. St Albans is roughly 30-40 minutes drive away and the cathedral (free entry) is a must see. We would also recommend the Verulamium museum, Hypercaust situated in the wonderful Verulamium park with its reasonable priced car park and 15 mins walk to the Cathedral.

What a great site with everything you could wish for. Lovely warm amenities block, loads of space and the bonus of a play area. Staff were very accommodating. It’s a huge site with just walking round the edge being a nice little outing. Had a good stay here despite Storm Eunice giving us a bit of a rocking!

What a lovely place - green, leafy and hard to believe it’s so close to central London. Andy was unbelievably helpful, friendly and gave us a fascinating briefing on all the resident wildlife. Will return soon.

Lovely campsite quiet and relaxing. Ticks every box. Its absolutely huge and well maintained by the staff who are very helpful and friendly. Facilities are clean and modern, lovely dog walk around site. Great little pak for the kids. Easy access to supermarket and shops 20 mins walk or a 5 mins drive. It's been 18 years since we last visited here! Wow.
The site has good sized pitches with lots of hardstanding with electric, which is what we wanted for this time of year (Feb/Mar) the facilities are equipped with toilets, wash cubicles and showers, all good. The air temperature is a little on the chilly side when showering but other than that all seems fine.
So overall a good stay at a reasonable price, recommended 👍
