Juniper Leisure, Tank Driving

Juniper Leasure is a great experience, well run, all the staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome. It is a very relaxed experience. They have a variety of armoured vehicles to drive and also offer rides for people who are just spectating. The complementary drinks are free following with the added extra of biscuits and delightful home made cake. Bacon butties are also available which are not expensive and well worth a try. All In all a great morning or afternoon.

Excellent Tank Driving experience.
Close to M3 Winchester Junction. Good reception and safety briefing. Drove, a Chieftain Main Battle Tank, an Armoured Personnel Carrier, a Stormer Missile Carrier. Would have normally driven a Self Propelled Howitzer but it was faulty, so it was substituted with a military off road lorry for a bit of fun.
Each vehicle had an instructor on board, - who were knowledgeable and helped get the most out of the experience. - Thanks!
There's a field café serving complimentary coffee, tea and cake and if you want something more substantial there's bacon rolls etc for sale.
You can take some spectators - just let them know if you're taking a crowd! They only pay £15 each and they get a ride on the back of two of the tanks. Cracking!
Take change of clothes, - it gets pretty dirty.
All in all, the driving experience was absolutely brilliant, and my support team had a great time too. Well worth the money!

A tank driving experience was bought for my 50th birthday. I had a really enjoyable, fun morning driving a variety of tracked vehicles. From a chieftain battle tank, through to a stormer air defence platform. The team at Juniper were great, so enthusiastic with a great team feel, from the canteen to the folks leading the activities. A call out to Kev who really added to the day as he was involved in the development of the stormer, which is still used today seeing action in Ukraine. His added insight was fascinating. A pleasant surprise was the activities for those not driving, my partner could ride on the chieftain as I drove, as well as an optional ride in a personnel carrier around the course, giving a great feel of what I had been experiencing.

This was a great day out, well signed and laid out. I was very much included as a spectator with complimentary drinks and cake. The participant had a brilliant time driving four different machines over varied terrain in a fun way.

Such a brilliant experience. Staff are so friendly and everything is well explained. At some experience days you spend a long time sitting around waiting your turn, but not here. I got to drive four vehicles and in between goes the staff drove us out in other vehicles. Plus, the facilities with drinks and snacks was really well run.

My wife and children came to watch me, and I was a little concerned that they would get bored, but for a very reasonable price (£15 in total as children are under 10) they had four rides on three different vehicles, and they absolutely loved it.

We had such a brilliant time! Everything from start to finish was well organised and ran smoothly. Friendly people and no bravado - just lots of banter and good humour.
Well done to Her Majesty Dot and the whole team for keeping us where we should be and well fed and watered (Fab homemade cake!) - the ladies in the kitchen were amazing!

My husband gifted me a tank driving experience for my birthday, I was extremely nervous but everyone at Juniper Leisure was so patient and encouraging that I had the best time! Big thank you to Dot and Ken for their enthusiastic encouragement and for taking such time with our kids, one who was reluctant to join in on a tank ride. They’re raving about the day!
All the instructors are so patient and kind and the whole day was enjoyed not only by myself but my whole family.
The group I was with were so lovely they really added camaraderie to the whole experience.

Absolutely amazing place, where you will have the best fun! Easy to find thanks to their instructions or Google maps (simply type in Juniper tank driving). On site you have everything you need from toilets, large markee with kids corner to a large food tent where you will be looked after by the team. Complimentary soft drinks, tea, coffee and homemade cakes (which are to die for) are simply a rare touch you do not get these days anymore! The tanks are great fun and spectacle, but the true stars of Juniper Tank Leisure are the staff!!! The team is absolutely amazing and elevate this place to a completely new level! Thank you so much for an absolutely smashing day, full of great fun!

We had the best day! From start to finish they were organised and made it so easy to have fun. I especially appreciated how they made the kids feel welcome and have a cracking day! Honestly couldn’t fault them, it’s well worth going!

Brilliant experience! Staff were all friendly, knowledgeable and very calm when instructing. Superb set up that ran like clockwork. Drove four different vehicles and had the best time. Visit if you can!!

Bought as a Xmas gift for my husband and boys. What an experience! We enjoyed the day tremendously; and they're still buzzing about it. Highly recommend.

absolutely brilliant !! I purchased a tank driving experience for my fiancé’s 30th and he was not disappointed. the day was set up very well, with all drivers being on a rota to drive the tanks available on the day. all the instructors were great with allowing questions, safety checks etc. and the other staff (office/kitchen/organisers etc.) were fantastic too. spectators can join for £15 which includes tank rides, tea/coffee, soft drinks and cake with the option to buy hot food as well (bacon baps etc.). I definitely feel this experience is underrated and the staff running the experience deserve much more credit. thank you for allowing us this opportunity - highly recommend for tank / military enthusiasts.

Great fun both for people driving the tanks and for people accompanying them. The staff were great and attentive and had a fantastic sense of humour. It was really cold when we first got there but thanks to the massive log burner we were nice and toasty so didn't feel the cold. There was plenty of seating available under cover and in the sun. They had an assortment of rolls available. The egg and bacon one seemed to be the most popular and if I hadn't had a tooth removed the day before I most definitely would have had one. I probably would have also had some of the home made cake that was part of the complimentary food and drink available. I highly recommend going!

Excellent experience. Very friendly and helpful staff. All instruction clear and friendly. Got to drive 4 different tanks and ride on a 5th with the instructor driving. Free tea, coffee cake on throughout. The spectators all had a good time as well. Spectators get to ride on the tank as well. I was given this as a red letter day. Highly recommend

Mum (60) and daughter(25) ‘girly’ day with a difference! Move over spa day - get your facial mud pack doing this instead. Absolutely loved it - so much fun . Organisation spot on with a chance to drive a variety of tracked vehicles. ….. couldn’t fault. Lovely people - funny, friendly, helpful, informative …. and ever so slightly bonkers to entrust us two with a 55 ton Chieftan !
Will definitely recommend and certainly now know what to gift for a few people!

Best Day ever. So well organised. Awesome team of instructors who looked after us. Facilities amazing and the variety of military vehicles to drive were great fun. Such a great buzz from being in control of 55 tones of metal and you get a certificate. Everyone should try this its extreme boys toys for girls too. Thank you Juniper Leisure.

Loved every minute of it. This was a birthday present from my fiance and it was simply the best present ever. It was so well run and organised. There was a friendly atmosphere and all the insructors were friendly and looked after each person well. To be able to drive 4 different styles of tanks in one afternoon is impressive. The staff also put on plenty of tea/coffees and cakes fres of charge. It is also nice to see venues that cater for the spectators as well and let them get involved. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone

Throughly a great day out for the family, even the spectators were involved which was fab. The day was very well organised from start to finish and all the staff were very helpful on and off the tanks. A lovely touch was that you were able to get hot and cold drinks, biscuits and some homemade cakes included in your price.

Also, got to witness a car being crushed for someone's birthday, this was definitely a dramatic end to the day.

Such fun and so well organised. We went to see a friend enjoy her birthday present. We also got to go on a tank and get a little muddy! They also provided tea, coffee and wonderful home made cake.
