Visits: I've always found the staff knowledgable, friendly, patient and helpful.
Ordering online: Documents that I've ordered have always arrived within the indicated time.
Paid for searches: The staff have been very helpful in ensuring that I get the right documents - the ones that are the most appropriate for my needs.

Staff was very solicitous in helping me navigate the archive. I'll come back at some point to continue my research on the history of my house.

Great place to go if you are doing research about Hertfordshire. £1 photocopying fee.

Nice site for Herts Memories until you try to register.
Registration doesn't work as you never get the verification e-mail and when you do try to contact them, nobody bothers to reply.
E-mailed three times and nothing.
Absolutely useless.
I appreciate that it is run by volunteers but surely one could look at their inbox now and again, or use some common manners.
The little note at the bottom "last updated 2009" probably explains it all. 13-years and counting.
