It's a lovely park with vast green spaces, and lovely river running through it. It's got the best playground in the area. It's got great quality areas for all ages. Big wooden obstacles to climb on, several slides and swings. Separated toddler area with big sand area, slides etc. And a great newly built splash park right next to the playground. Picnic tables area available too.

TRANSFORMED!!!!
A big and a beautiful park. Lush green. Great spot for picnic and family time...It seems the park has recently gone through a transformation.

The children play area expanded, great rides and other activity things. Splash water park also added for hot days, an area for exercise as well (mechanized bikes, etc.). Parking as well has been expanded (south side).

Has benches to sit, a children play area to the south. A set of public toilets next to children play area. Another set of toilets in the North as well.

It also has an area in the North West which is used by teens with those mountain bikes, skates, U shaped metallic structures, Jumping on the edges thing (sorry don't know the tech word for it). Lot of kids frequent it regularly.

A great place for walks.

First time to Gadebridge Park. The West side of the park has a hill covered in daffodils, wonderful spot sit and think. The rest of the park was nice as well as the chimes from St Mary's filled the air. The rose garden is worth a visit as well.

My first visit to this beautiful park. Free parking, plenty of space to walk about, a stream through the middle, a cafe kiosk with picnic tables and also a play area if you have young children. I particularly liked the walled garden and colourful array of Spring flowers. Recommended.

Lovely open green space in Hemel Hempstead right next to the Gorgeous Old Town. The park and the Old town have been used as a filming location for several TV Series, including Afterlife and Masters of the Air.

The park itself is beautiful with a splash park, children's play area, with a walled garden and a food and beverage shop. Next to this is a bowl club.

There are three separate car parks to chose from.

Lovely big park. Skate park for older kids go early of you want it to yourself. Splash park gets busy if weather is good best to go early to get the shade of the trees. Bbq's are allowed in the park too. Swings and climbing equipment along with a outside gym. Clean public toilets and a cafe.

I've been visiting Gadebridge Park since we moved to Hemel from London in 1953. This recent visit was a one-off for forces day.

A great display by the flypast of the Lancaster Bomber and the RAF Band put on a decent display.

The park itself hasn't changed much since I was an 8 year old playing in the river Gade and I'm now approaching 75.. It's still a magnificent amenity for Locals.

Very good playground for kids of any age! A lot of trees in the shadow of which patents can hide during hot and sunny days. Picnic places are also available. Public restroom is in the park and free car park.

Was nice and clean . Kids enjoyed themselves. Plenty of space for a picnic . Little cafe was quite reasonable price wise which sold the usual hotdogs crisps etc.
No alcohol in the splash part place I presume but the park is large enough to have a cheeky pint

A favourite place for myself and my children
There's something for everyone and the splash park is huge.
The grounds are kept clean and on point. The highlight will be our resident Park keeper, you can hear his smile from around the corner. He is professionally friendly, engaging with all. He is an absolute joy and the kids and adults luv him.. You will always hear a joyful greeting to one and all, and he is attentive in maintaining a high standard in the environment we are all in.

One thing I do take issue with and it's the uniform, I do worry about health and safety that in this sweltering weather that the park rangers can't get rid of the long trousers and wear shorts. I've not asked but have assumed that this is so.
But if it isn't have a care for them that care for us. He always makes us feel welcome and happy. Let keep him a cool guy too!

Gadebridge Park in Hemel Hempstead is an absolute gem of a green space, a testament to nature's beauty and the perfect retreat for locals and visitors alike. This park is a true haven, offering a wide range of activities and an atmosphere that soothes the soul. I recently had the pleasure of spending a delightful day exploring its offerings, and I couldn't be more impressed.

First and foremost, the park's natural beauty is awe-inspiring. As you enter, you are greeted by lush greenery, vibrant flowers, and towering trees that create a stunning canopy. Whether you're an avid photographer, a nature enthusiast, or simply looking for a peaceful stroll, Gadebridge Park will not disappoint. I found myself completely captivated by the tranquil lake, where ducks and swans gracefully glide through the water. It's a scene straight out of a postcard.

The park is well-maintained, with clean pathways and manicured lawns. There are ample benches scattered throughout, providing the perfect spot to sit and soak in the serene atmosphere. Picnic areas are also available, making it an ideal place to spend quality time with friends and family.

For those who enjoy outdoor activities, Gadebridge Park offers a plethora of options. The playgrounds are fantastic for kids, featuring various play structures and plenty of space for them to run around. The tennis courts and basketball courts are in great condition, and there's even a dedicated area for skateboarding and BMX enthusiasts. The park truly caters to all age groups and interests.

One of the highlights of my visit was the beautiful Sensory Garden. It's a hidden gem within the park, filled with fragrant flowers and tactile plants. The attention to detail in designing this space is commendable, providing a sensory experience that's both relaxing and therapeutic.

If you're a fitness enthusiast, you'll appreciate the fitness equipment stations scattered throughout the park. These allow you to enjoy a workout in the fresh air while surrounded by nature.

Gadebridge Park hosts events and activities throughout the year, ranging from outdoor cinema screenings to live music concerts. Check the park's website or local listings to see what's happening during your visit.

Parking is convenient, and there are public facilities, including clean restrooms. The park is also wheelchair accessible, making it inclusive for everyone.

In conclusion, Gadebridge Park is a true treasure in the heart of Hemel Hempstead. It offers a sublime natural escape, a playground for outdoor enthusiasts, and a sanctuary for those seeking peace and tranquility. Whether you're looking for a leisurely stroll, a family outing, or an active day of recreation, this park has it all. I wholeheartedly recommend a visit to Gadebridge Park to experience its beauty and charm for yourself.

Just a nice place lots of space and lovely trees. Less crowded now than when COVID restrictions were in place. A good play area for children of all ages. Took the dog for a walk today, in the snow. Beware, the paths have not been cleared, slippery in places. Update: saw the first signs of spring today, February 26th. Daffodils growing taller and pink blossom on one tree. Still cold though.
Now the spring blooms are out the park is looking nice. The council is doing a great job of keeping things clean and tidy.
