I stayed at the Abbey Hotel for a dance break and would thoroughly recommend it. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were all very friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent and the position of the hotel was fabulous being so close to the Abbey and town and also for walks. I would have scored a 5 but my single room was a little too small. However as I was on a dance weekend, I only had to go to my room to sleep. It was well equipped and the bathroom was quite large but there was very little space between bed and furniture and only a very tiny window. Otherwise everything else was excellent.

Gorgeous views from breakfast room and from our Executive Double (401). Warm and relaxing throughout. Enjoyed the spacious and relaxing bar.
Well-organised and good quality breakfast, especially superb croissants.
Really got great pleasure from the welcoming and efficient staff, who multi-tasked and showed impressive teamwork - congratulations.

From the time we arrived at the Abbey Hotel we were made to feel valued and welcome. Without asking we were offered help with our luggage. The duty manager came within a few minutes and collected our assortment of items which she cheerfully took up to our room for us. All the staff at the hotel are helpful and friendly, and seem to enjoy their job. Our room was lovely and spacious and the walk in shower was a real bonus as I am recovering from a broken leg and can’t get into a bath yet. The hotel’s location was perfect for us as we were able to walk to the shops or the Priory next door, but pop back to the room for a rest when we needed. We really enjoyed our stay and intend to return when I am fit as we still need to climb the Malvern hills.

We travelled as a small group of friends and were received warmly by the hotel staff. Nothing was too much trouble and we were always greeted with a smile. The room was compact, but it had everything I needed and was comfortable. Breakfast was very good too. The Abbey Hotel is in a great location in Malvern, I will definitely go back!

The Abbey Hotel is set in a beautiful position with great views around the surrounding area. The hotel interior decor suits the age and style of the building.

The main older part of the hotel is fantastic, with large rooms with good clean decor including comfy couches and armchairs. The newer part of the hotel is through a warren of corridors well decorated. Rooms are well set out but slightly smaller than the older part of the hotel.

The reception and hotel staff throughout were extremely helpful and could not do enough. Made the stay that bit more special.

The food was excellent, and the drinks prices were reasonable for a hotel. Buffet breakfast was very good. It had everything.

Highly recommend and will definitely be returning when in the area again.

Fantastic stay. From the moment we arrived staff were efficient, helpful and friendly. We left the car in the car park before checking to have a wander around the town.
The room was warm, comfortable and spotlessly clean.bed really comfortable.
We had complimentary drinks included while booking and w had these in the warm and comfortable lounge area. We didn’t eat however the food looked lovely.
Breakfast which was included and was plentiful, varied and hot. Staff checking and topping up and clearing tables as soon as they were vacated.
Great stay.

The staff were very kind and helpful. The Room was comfortable and warm. The vegetarian cooked breakfast was good and served to me.
The entrance for the disabled was very convenient. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing.
The hotel's central position was convenient though the streets are steep. Nice to be able to collect the Malvern spring water near bye.
The fire alarm alert during my stay was dealt with quickly and efficiently.
Even the weather of rain at night and Autumn sunshine during the day, which the hotel had no control over, enhanced my stay!

This is great value for a comfortable mid priced hotel. Complimentary tea, coffee, biscuits. Bath/shower,iron,hair dryer, comfortable bed and seating and no lack of heating on our cold mid winter visit.
Breakfast was well above average for the price point of equivalent hotels.

The only oddity was the complimentary bottle of water, which was from Harrogate instead of Malvern!

Happy to recommend.

The Abbey is a very nice hotel with free parking and perfectly situated. The rooms I have found as I have been here before are always clean and well presented. The breakfasts are excellent and plentiful with lots of choice. The only issue I had was the Wifi and this was patchy at best. I was at the very end of the building this time and must have been on the edge of the range. Other than that, I cannot complain and would return again when visiting the area.

We were staying for a one theatre break.
We were able to book our car in the free car park as we knew we were too early for our room.
Once this was done we could go off and explore.

Once checked in we were given our card key off we went to find our room however, the card keys were not working . We went back to Reception to inform them.
A manager came back with us with the key card being reset she also had a door lock computer with her but alas it looked like the mechanism on the door had failed.
We went back to Reception with her so we could be reassigned a new room.
The new room was an upgrade to a superior room it was a very good size shame as we only staying for one night.
We were very pleased with their response as this would have been a serious problem if the key card failed once you were using the room as the door would not open for her at all.
The room was fully equipped the upgrade had a fridge . Facilities to a good standard.

Breakfast as ever always has a good choice and ordering fresh porridge is great and a large bowlful too was made .
Only criticism is that could there be more choice of fresh fruit .
Melon , grapefruit and orange segments were the only offer.

Good checkout at 11am and again able to leave the car parked while we explored the Malvern Hills again.

We will be back ....

Our experience was INCREDIBLE! We spent Christmas at the Abbey with my family and we truly had the most wonderful time. The food and atmosphere were wonderful but the best part was most definitely the staff. They were so welcoming and friendly it really made the trip even better. We will definitely return to the Abbey just to see the staff again!

The hotel is a lovely place, situated in a lovely town.
The staff were professional and friendly. My room was very clean comfortable with all I could have expected, including a bath tub.
Breakfast was great, everything you could ask for to make a full english.
I live in Germany, but am English. So a full English breakfast is something very special for me.

All in all, my stay was great at the Abbey and I would recommend it without reservation.

Well done to all the staff who made my four day stay an absolute pleasure.

We booked in excess of 10 rooms for a group which included the elderly, adults, children, infants and a couple of dogs.
We had room 236 which is a lovely suite with bay windows and a very large bathroom. All the rooms booked were nice, clean and of adequate size.
The service was excellent, the staff were patient and accommodating, especially when you consider young children.
We didn't eat at the hotel ourselves, but a number of the group did and we were informed the food was really nice. The added bonus was that children under 5 ate free with adults having to purchase food, which was a welcome surprise and a nice touch.
The breakfast had a good selection of traditional English and continental with plenty of tables to accommodate the hotel guests.
We really could not fault anything. We organise a family and friends outing between Xmas day and New Years day every year at different locations throughout the UK, and the overall hotel experience at the Abbey did not disappoint one bit,
The location of the hotel is perfect for the town and for hiking.
Many thanks to Alison and Natalie to help organise the booking and all the fantastic staff working at the Abbey hotel.
If we were to visit the same location again in Great Malvern, the Abbey hotel would be our 1st choice.

Beautifully decorated for christmas.
Room a good size with far reaching views. Big bathroom. Great to have 3 chairs in the room and a little table as well as the desk. Well appointed.
Room service prompt and well presented.
Excellent breakfast buffet and attentive staff.
I do not mind the Abbey bells but some people may find them annoying ! A gentle warning may be necessary. Very quiet at night except for the hourly tolling and the two hour bell practice one night. My room was right next to the bell tower so not sure if it can be heard as much on the other side of the hotel.
Many areas around the hotel to sit and visit or have a drink with comfortable chairs and sofas.
Parking gets very full.
Bed a little on the hard side for me. Could do with a mattress topper.
My room appeared to have leakage from possibly a shower on the other side of the wall that I reported. Surprised the cleaning team did not spot the large mark on the wall.

A very good location and a beautiful hotel with plenty of character. Our room was a great size with large windows overlooking the beautiful grounds. Bed was very comfortable. Staff were very obliging and helpful. We took advantage of the room upgrade at a cost of £10.00 - very good value.
The breakfast was very good quality and although it was self service (this seems to be the way with most Hotels since Covid) could not fault it. There was a very large choice of continental items and the cooked breakfast was very high quality ingredients. The breakfast room is very welcoming and light and spaced out so you have a bit of privacy! - we hate to be sat on the next table occupant's laps!! lol
We will definitely be going back!

We had a fabulous stay for 2 nights. First night we had a murder mystery night with a company called murder 57. What a great evening. Food was really good. We were on a great table with 3 other couples. Very good laugh and conversation.
Breakfast was buffet style. But great. Set us up for the day. Great town is Great Malvern.
Walked the North walk of the Malvern hills. Fantastic day weather wise. Saw for miles. Took about 3hrs at our leisure.
Back to hotel for dinner before the theatre. Food was delicious 😋.
The room was airy and plenty of space getting around, bathroom also spacious. Beds very comfortable.
Easy express check out on line.
All in all a fabulous stay.
Defo go back

We were a group of Ramblers staying at the Abbey Hotel recently and think we all enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very comfortable with carpeting and tasteful soft furnishings throughout. It was great to be so central with the hotel right next to the Abbey and not far from shops and cafes and also as walkers able to get up into the hills directly from the hotel. The food was also really excellent with professional and pleasant service at every meal, it was one of the nicest hotels we've stayed at.

All staff without exception were friendly, helpful and efficient. We enjoyed a lovely meal in the restaurant and drinks in the well stocked bar. The room was very clean and warm and lovely and quiet despite being at the front of the hotel and, being in the older part of the building, single glazed. Being an older building, we noticed a few minor signs of wear and tear here and there. But, that didn't affect the enjoyment of our stay. We are looking forward to visiting again.

The hotel is nicely located in Malvern close to the main route through the town and shops, but did not suffer from noise issues. The priory was right next to the hotel. The room was large and had a front view, with a large bathroom. The food was very good, breakfast offered a comprehensive choice which was all cooked well, no omelettes though. Dinner was equally well cooked but the choice of main courses was a little limited, (4 choices) however I did enjoy my choice each night. We were part of a private dance break and the ballroom had a good floor and was roomy enough for our group. Overall an enjoyable stay in a good hotel, comments re food choice very minor issues, and would stay here again. In fact just booked with private dance organiser for 2024.
