What a fantastic experience - I chose to do the donkey walk with a friend. So we each had a donkey to walk around the woods. My one was keen to get it done to get to the area where he’s fed carrots. My friend had the more gentile one so got to go at a slower pace! Both donkeys are gorgeous. Will be visiting again to take the teddy bear sheep for a walk & the pigs. Wonderful place to visit especially with children.

Absolutely love it here, this was our fifth or six visit and the kids still love every second! Have 2, 12 and 16 year olds. Some animals are free roaming and it’s lovely and calm, the workers are always around to help you feel relaxed if your worried about feeding the animals by hand for the first time or second etc and always have loads of info about the animals when you have questions. There is a cute little cafe for tea coffee and refreshments so that’s lovely for the adults for a cup of tea and cake! Definitely worth a visit or two thank you to all the staff for being so lovely I’m sure we will see you again soon. Visited 11/4/24

Amazing experience for kids and big kids alike. We did the pig walking and loved it. The piggies are so loved and pampered, it was wonderful to see. The teddy bear sheep love cuddles, the goats are cheeky little things and the turkeys and alpacas will mug you for your feed! It’s great fun, I would highly recommend visiting. We will go back to walk the donkeys next.

Love being in with the animals while they free roam. Fed the alpacas carrots and the chickens both by hand which was a cute experience. Stroked the sheep, they love a scratch behind their ears. Brushed the goats horns. The ladies working there are so friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. Everywhere is so clean and peaceful. All the animals are so happy and well looked after which is very obvious, which is beautiful. We loved it and would definitely recommend. Will 100% be coming back. Thank you 🥰

Absolutely fantastic farmland! We’ve been a couple of times now with our 11 year old and 1 year old and both of them absolutely love it. It’s so great that it’s secured but open so it gives my eldest the freedom to explore while I can make sure my 1 year old isn’t trying to hug the ducks 😂. I couldn’t recommend this place more. The animals are so friendly and the staff are great too. The cafe have delicious cake options too with an open view of the farm.

I Love this place! 🥰
There's nothing big or extravagant about it! It's just simple fun and interaction with animals! You can tell how much the staff/ farmers all care for and know the animals, its on a very small scale which is perfect for young children or those that couldn't manage a whole zoo/ large farm and numbers are restricted so its never too busy!
Just somewhere quient and cute to blow the cobwebs away for a few hours with the family!
Thank you! 😊

Simply a wonderful place for all ages. We took my mother-in-law and sister-in-law for a Christmas present to walk the Donkeys and see the animals and we had a brilliant morning. The animals are free to roam around the orchard with just a small group of visitors and we were given food on arrival for the various residents. This made it a truly unique and personal experience, and we really enjoyed meeting all the animals (my personal favourites had to be cheeky Duke the donkey and Teddy the alpaca). The staff are knowledgeable and very friendly for hot and cold days alike, the hot chocolate is unmissable! We can't recommend Huckleberry Woods enough and will certainly be returning with more family and friends.

Brilliant experience for kids and those who love animals. Very hands on and close to the animals. We did the pig walking and loved it. The ladies were very friendly and informative. They have a little coffee area to purchase coffee and cake. Would recommend.

Beautiful woodland setting, collection of farm animals to enjoy. A quiet and serene place to visit. In the words of my daughter "I don't want to leave, it's such a wonderful place".

Lovely hidden gem. Allows children to get up close with real animals who seem very happy to see the guests and well treated. Enthusiastic staff and a bonus for rail nerds like me is a very busy mainline next to the woods.

My friend and I had the best day. I treated her to a minature donkey walk for her birthday. But we had so much more from the day. Alpacas, pigs, goats, turkeys, sheep, chickens and of course the donkeys Duke & Wizard.
So peaceful and all the animals are lovingly cared for. The 1:1 with the animals are definitely worth it.

Had a great time walking Mr Darcy and Rodney trotters. But walking pigs was just a small part of the fun.

They had the tamest sheep I've ever met, more like golden retrievers.

Mischievous miniature donkeys.

Friendly but greedy alpacas.

Cute mini goats with the zoomies.

And of course all the lovely chickens, ducks and turkeys.

Interacting with and feeding the animals made for a great morning. And the staff are incredibly helpful, telling us about the various animals' personalities and back stories

Would highly recommend for both kids and adults.

We took our 2 and 4 year old grandchildren. Huckleberry wood really is unique in the area. We really appreciated the booking system which keeps the number of people on site at a limited level. It really was a relaxing and peaceful couple of hours. All the animals were very friendly and gentle and the cupcakes were delicious! The 2 yr old even had the confidence to feed an alpaca after a short while.

A delightful place- a million miles away from the usual commercial zoos/farms. It’s more like being a guest of friends that have a rather lovely orchard that houses all sorts of interesting animals! The staff are great at providing fun anecdotes which adds to the experience. Due to the excellent booking system this isn’t at all over crowded so highly suitable for autistic children/adults. Highly recommended.

Just visited Huckleberry Woods for a birthday treat and it was absolutely fantastic. All of the staff, and in particular the owners were warm, friendly and very accomodating.

We done the sheep walking experience and it was a right blast.

The venue itself feels magical and so serene.

Honestly one of the best experiences we’ve had as a family.

*I would recommend buying some animal feed, and DEFINATELY take part in the walking of the animals. So much fun, and they were all so friendly and calm.

Thank you again, and see you soon!

Positive experience: have pre book online time slots not an issue under 2 year old toddlers free entry. Nice cafe opens around 11am place opens 10.30am first session we went on a sunny Tuesday morning with the family free plenty parking but be aware it can get very muddy and messy so pack your wellies and extra shoes for your car. Animals very curious and friendly to feed but do not like to be touched and also alpacas 🦙 do not spit unlike many we have experienced lol overall positive experience all ladies working there are friendly and jolly and smiling all day nice will come back next time with more family members once weather gets better
