The Market Tavern Public House

I have been to market tavern a few times, every time the staff have been lovely, always happy to help. The only thing slightly negative that I can say is that sometimes the food needs cooking a little bit more, it can look a bit pale depending on what you have, it's always cooked through, so it's not undercooked it can sometimes just look that way. I would go back again as I have done many times. Good for kids and adults, they have outside seating when it's nice weather as well and there's plenty of seats inside.

We had parked at the Market Place so it was convenient, and we had lovely mixed grills with the biggest baked potatoes We've ever seen! Good old fashioned table service, and very well priced. We would definitely go back.

Best value for pub food in town! Portions are very generous! Definitely leave full up!

Me and 8 friends arrived and found this pub. We were overwhelmed with the service and hospitality shown by staff and customers. Spent 3 days in Great Yarmouth and highly recommend this lovely pub. We will be back soon. All the best from the Hastings Motley Crew.

Sometimes a place is so good you have to keep returning, this market pub is one of them..
The food is really well cooked and the portion size and value for money is second to non.

The outside seating gives the customer a great view of the hustle and bustle of this local Norfolk market town and the inside is cosy and almost timeless.

The staff were a credit to the management each time we visited, and really helpful and accomodating to my visually impaired colleague.

Last time I had a burger today a wrap but both were mouthwatering.

There was a good selection of food on the menu but do check if you have any food allergies and ask.

This can get busy during the day which is a sign of how popular it is.

Although there is an air of a local pub for local people about it, you are still guaranteed a welcome and superb service

The Mangeress and staff are lovely,polite,friendly and courteous nothing too much trouble to do, and food is Excellent would definitely recommend it's nice and hot,will definitely go there again.

My group meets here once a month, also come here with family and friends food is always good, staff are friendly great places to eat and prices are very reasonable

Been here a few times recently with my daughter. Really decent quality food at fair prices! Good atmosphere ,not too busy or noisy and the staff are friendly and polite. Love the all day brunch 😋

Excellent breakfast, and the staff ate so polite and helpful, very reasonable prices. 6 of us were eating, breakfast was hot and very filling.

At first glance outside looked a bit iffy and we nearly didn't go in , but, I'm really glad we did as this is a really nice pub. The staff were very friendly providing excellent service and a great breakfast, which would have earned five stars had the sausages been a bit meatier, even so it was still excellent value. I would recommend it. A lesson learned " don't judge a book by its cover"😁.

Great traditional town centre pub - off the holiday makers' main trail. A warm friendly welcome. My wife and I had a great meal from a big selection - almost more than we could manage ! And a very interesting discussion with the landlady about the pub, the town and past present and future. Just what a pub should be. Warmly recommended.

Very nice food and beer with quick service

Wonderful staff and friendly atmosphere. The food is generous and also incredible. The home made nachos and portions of meat are especially worth note. A special shout out to Vanessa who makes you feel like you're coming home to tea. Highly recommended.

Walked by this pub for years on the way to Troll Cart for lunch, but today Troll Cart was packed with kids and pushchairs, so we doubled back to Market Tavern.
We will never go to Troll Cart again. The food here was fantastic, great quality, enormous portions and so cheap.
Staff are brilliant, atmosphere is relaxed, good selection of beers and food. What's not to like 5*******

Had always been put off by the outside, it looks a bit dark inside but we were very pleasantly surprised. Warm, clean and comfortable inside, the beer was good and the food was excellent. We will return.

We went for a breakfast which was not to bad tbh I liked it ate it all good value for money and it is a nice stop of when you get off the train station on your holidays for a quick drink and food before you hit the main strip and the beach
