Nice atmosphere, welcoming pub. And dog friendly. And had local beers.

Great food and service at the pub. It's got a nice garden including its own "beach". Reasonably priced and a good range of beers.

Lovely pub run by very nice staff. Campervans very welcome (phone before arriving.. about 9 spaces for vans). Food exceptional and very reasonable. Vegan options. Dog friendly. On the beach, which is a great walk all the way to Great Yarmouth and beyond. Will return.

Great location next to the beach . Very friendly bar staff, traditional pub food. Our dog was made a real fuss of. There was a large puddle in the car park due to the recent heavy rain but this did not get in the way of our parking spot and there was room to walk round to get into the pub. 4 vans parked up for the night.

Had a very enjoyable early evening at the pub. There were 6 adults and 4 children and One dog. We were made very welcome on 14.10.23. The food was excellent and great value. The staff went above and beyond we have a very fussy eater and they accommodated her needs fully. Can not praise the pub any higher than 10/10

Nice place, will visit again food was very good the staff where helpful and friendly. Back again this year 2022 already been here twice and booked a table for Friday. This place is a gem. The best place to eat and drink in the Great Yarmouth area. Back again 2023 still a gem, we Two more visits plan this week

Sunday lunch was the best we have ever had in an eatery. Choice of 4 roasts and all the veg were fresh not frozen. Lovely staff and reasonably priced so popular you have to book well in advance. Thanks again for a lovely Sunday lunch.

First vist today for a carvery lunch. I can honestly say it is one of the best we have ever had l. Lovey tender meat thickly sliced. Mash potatoes are definitely the best ever. Roast potatoes very nice stuffing. Good choice of vegetables and big Yorkshire puds everything cooked to perfection. Served with a smile. The staff make you feel very welcome and go out of there way to help. My wife is a wheelchair user and they really helped her taking her to the carvery and getting her food for her and taking her back to our table so I could get my carvery much appreciated l. 2 carverys 2 drinks and 2 deserts for £32 very good value for money we will definitely be back.

We stayed here in our motorhome. The food was really nice and very reasonable. If you're looking for an overnight park up we'd recommend you give this pub a go. The landlord Ian is very helpful, ring and book a table. Close to a beautiful sand beach.

It was our first time we had been to this pub and what a hidden gem.

The actual pub was just gorgeous. Beautiful beer garden and the beach is just a stones throw away.

Inside we were greeted by friendly staff. We chose to have a bite to eat for lunch and what can I say. The food was reasonably price, great value for money and was cooked to perfection!

Can’t speak highly enough about this establishment. Will certainly be returning.

What a absolute gem of a place , very friendly dog pub the food is fantastic. Stayed over in my camper and the staff are great .

The menu looked cheap and cheerful. But the quality and quantity of food was outstanding. Small cod and chips was huge! Burger was well cooked and tasty all done by one person in the kitchen!!

Well... CAISTER-ON-SEA'S BEST KEPT SECRET... after living in caister-on-sea all my adult life i had given up recently finding a decent old school pub that sells real ale for men and women.. did decent edible food... Step forward THE NEVER TURN BACK! today 30/08/22 i was walking past and see open at 12. 30 sign so ventured in... A joy to behold.. Real ale.. Inc SOUTHWOLD BITTER brewed locally so i sampled a pint... HEAVEN 🤗 beautifully kept, i noticed people pouring in and all ordering food soo eventually i browsed the menu... Spoilt for choices all good ones... Eventually i went for an 8oz steak burger it came in a lovely toasted bun with lovely salad garnish and by a mile the best pub or restaurant chips i have ever eaten! Not greasy, not tasting like typical oven chips, just dam delicious!! My family has owned cafés, restaurants, nightclubs in Both London & Norfolk, so i really recognise and appreciate good food and well kept drinks, i salute the NEVER TURN BACK they are a credit to CAISTER-ON-SEA and NORFOLK. locally both in CAISTER-ON-SEA and a few miles out i had all but given up for a affordable establishment serving quality food but now i have! i regularly eat out and encourage everyone to do so before we lose all Englands beautiful pubs etc to the hideous cost of living increases. I have sadly overpaid for 5 years locally for inferior food and drink stupidly not relizing that the best quality food and best value plus ale was just a walk away a hidden local gem! Yes fair dinkum the interior carpets are abit worst for wear but the pub itself and outside.. also loo's are fantastically clean! The Landlord IAN and staff are fabulous welcoming, pleasant and cannot do enough to please. OK... YOU MAY HAVE TRIED THE REST... BUT NOW TRY THE BEST!!! THE NEVER TURN BACK AT CAISTER-ON-SEA. do NOT judge a book by its cover applies here. Beautiful location right on the beach virtually sit outside hear the waves crashing on the shore, sand in view etc, large carpark, this is an 1960s art-decco pub a jewel in Norfolks crown, please support it or lose it as the cost of living crisis hits the uk.

This is a great pub. We moved to Caister four weeks ago and tried a few places and this by far the best. Ian and Sandra, the licensee's, are so friendly and welcoming. The Sunday lunch is delicious with huge portions. It is advisable to book! The real ales are well kept. There is large lawn area at the front with tables and a good size car park. The pub is literally a stones throw from the beach. It's dog friendly. Try this pub and you will not be disappointed.

Lovely pub, great location, friendly and helpful staff. Bonus for us it is dog friendly. We stopped here for a drink and a rest before walking behind the pub to the beach. Great view's of the sea. Nicely spaced seating outside and a lovely area of seats made to feel like you are on the beach 👍🏻😊

Sunday dinner at the Never Turn Back. Wow!!. The carvery here is just out of this world. £9 for a choice of 3 meats. 2 large slices of meat and as much vegatables that you can get on your plate. I went for the roast pork and paid just £1 extra to get another slice. The meat was succulent and melt in your mouth. The crackling was crispy with a great salty taste. The potatoes were crispy, the veg was perfect, not mushy, the gravy was nice and thick. Together with perfectly made stuffing and a yorkshire pudding on the side the dinner was completely fullfilling.
My mum and dad told me that I would have the best carvery ever and they were not wrong.
You need to make sure you book ahead to get a table at this wonderful pub in Caister. Get yourself down there for the best Sunday dinner you will ever have.

Best pub I’ve been to in years!!! Staff are a credit to this place and the food that comes out is like eating at home so fresh so well prepared and sent out on plate to table with love! Great great great place. They also do overnight campers are allowed!😎✅👍🏻

A very warm welcome greeted us at this pub. Lovely choice of food and drink. I had a Cumberland sausage burger with onion relish and chips and it was delicious. Easily recommend.

Absolutely 💯 fantastic free all night parking for campervan if you book in advance.........the food was great and john the barman was the best I've ever met wot a superstar......love this place with the beautiful beach within walking distance best place if you want to see sunrise amazing
