Pembrey Country Park & Beach - Car Park 1

First time visiting here on Sunday 19 Feb 2023 for a walk with greyhounds. I went with the South West Wales Greyhound Trust but any greyhound or whippit owner is welcome. only 30 miles from home in Port Talbot. What a great walk 65 dogs at this event but everyone is welcome. The event was well controlled by the organisers and they meet every month. It took about an hour or so and you can then move on to other areas of the park. I wish I had had more time to do some exploring. I will next time!!
The route was easy to manage and I met some very interesting people there.
The scenery there is quite spectacular. Next time I will bring a picnic and come for the day. I would have liked to spend some time at the beach itself, but again next time. Plenty of places to get a meal at one of the sites at the park.
I am really looking forward to next months walk

Beautiful beach, woodlands, play area, cafe and camping - great for trail running, family days, mountain biking and beach fun.

I thought It was a great place. So glad we visited and i will be coming back for the beach but also to explore more of the park.

Which was very Easy access to even with a newborn baby. And a very conveniently a easy walk to the toilets and the cafe from the beach.

Super big beach lovely walk

Wide open beaches and shaded woodland walks make this a great place to visit. Having a dog friendly section of beach available all year is a bonus.

Fabulous three days spent, despite the thunderstorm last night. So much to do and brilliant for cycling. We will be returning.
