Ardencote

Picked this hotel from Google Maps. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay here. It just happened to coincide with England playing and winning a penalty shoot out in the Euros, so it was busy and a little rowdy, but it made for a good atmosphere. Paid extra for an up to date refurbished room. Nice view onto the golf course. It's very roomy and clean. Despite arriving late, we had something to eat in the bar, and they were very quick to serve. The vegetarian food was delicious. My partner and I had an early morning swim in the spa, followed by jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room. Lovely facilities and friendly staff. Thoroughly enjoyed breakfast after our efforts in the spa. Very enjoyable stay

Stayed here overnight for work. Room was very clean and quiet.

Breakfast was decent. Would have preferred to get own coffee but sure if id been bothered to ask the nice staff i'd have got a refill

This is our second time here. Popped in early for a drink in the bar on arrival and found our room was ready so checked in .What brilliant staff in the bar and restaurant very efficient and friendly. Used the pool and steam room . Great lockers no key or coins needed and towels from the spa reception. Room was great and in a quiet part as requested. We both had different courses for dinner and both were superb . The chicken and pork were amazing. Well done the Chef .An excellent selection at breakfast both hot and cold. Coffee and tea at the table which we like . All in all a very good experience Many thanks to all the staff. We will be back to stay again

Have been to Ardencote numerous times and just had to write a review.
Every single stay is memorable and the most wonderful experience.
From the moment I walked through the spa door to the greeting off hi and welcome back to the moment we left the staff were amazing.
The destination spa is awesome experience love the himalayan sauna very Therapeutic plenty to do and never over crowded.
Food was excellent we had bar meals in brasserie for lunch delicious chicken burgers with fries at a reasonable price.
Breakfast is always hot and fresh a total win full English with good quality sausage and bacon.
Really never want to come home from this place every visit thank you to all the staff who work so hard to make this place a gem off a place to visit.

We booked a lunch for 30 friends. We had to pay for room hire as well as the £24.50 for the buffet lunch but we had the dining room, bar and adjoining room exclusively available to us from 11.00 till 4.00 so it seems good value. The lunch was good and plentiful with excellent staff on hand. All round, a good 5* visit.

We had our wedding at Ardencote in March and everything was perfect! The whole team were fantastic and made sure everything ran smoothly, the rooms and food were great and communication at all points was brilliant, thank you again for an amazing day we're so pleased we had our wedding at Ardencote!

Nice hotel with a good golf course. Stayed as group of 6 for golf weekend. Dinner and breakfast included with night stay and 2 rounds of golf for under £150. Good spa facilities.

We had our wedding day at the Ardencote in May this year and it was the most perfect day. From the moment we viewed the Ardencote for the first time, we new this was the perfect venue for us and that we were in good hands. Dawn was extremely helpful and always available to answer any of our questions throughout the planning process. Any of our suppliers who had worked with the Ardencote previously all had very high praise of how professional and efficient the Ardencote is with weddings. The venue and surroundings are absolutely beautiful, the rooms were fantastic (especially the bridal suite), the staff were incredibly attentive and professional, and I would like to give a huge thank you to Liz who was our master of ceremonies on the day and did a superb job of ensuring the day ran smoothly, her professionalism and energy was second to none! The food was fantastic, and everything went so smoothly and according to plan. Thank you Ardencote and team for the most fantastic and memorable day.

This place was beautiful. Really loved it. Staff were lovely, polite, friendly, quick service. Rooms were superb and it was lovely and quiet. I definitely want to come back but for longer than 1 night next time. Would love to explore the grounds xxx

Went for a spa day. Lovely food and service but sadly wasn't shown round the Spa so only used club pool and facilities around pool. We didn't realise we had missed the actual spa facilities for the day!! Did mention this at the end of our day. No apology given. Slightly disappointed!

Very nice hotel plenty of parking, although it is very busy. Reception mainly ok, although one person wasn't the most friendly of people. Room nice, although the air conditioning didn't seem to work and the weather was hot, day and night. Thankfully the window opened. Food was very good. Evening meal time was set prior to arriving, so ours was 20:30 and wasn't easy to change. Plenty of sports available, the only issue I had was that the indoor pool was dimly lit, as I swim front crawl it was hard to judge the wall or other swimmers. Golf course was good, fairly challenging. Would revisit this hotel again in near future.

Lovely overnight stay after work conference. Buffet lunch was pretty poor. Mostly inferior carbohydrates and not well labelled. The opposite of dinner, which was delightful. Lovely room. Very helpful staff.

Had a lovely night away with family, our deal included dinner which was really good and well presented and we had a lovely breakfast then next morning. The only downside was the indoor pool was cold, we were glad to warm up in the Jacuzzi when it became free.

An absolutely stunning place. Each and every one of the staff were polite, helpful and welcoming.
The rooms were a decent size . The food was amazing.
The pool, hot tubs etc all clean and with a lovely atmosphere.
The golf course , the gardens and lake so picturesque and peaceful.
I can't recommend this place enough.
Definitely will be going back!!

Fantastic hotel, the staff were very polite and helpful. The pool and spa area was very chilled out and it definitely felt like a relaxing experience, overall a big tick in that box. We had a delicious light lunch followed by the afternoon cream tea. The scones were very well made and again the staff were attentive. The evening meal was incredibly well balanced in terms of the depth of flavour in all the courses we ate. Breakfast was spot on too, a well stocked buffet of both hot and cold items. A final mention to the room , which had a nice and modern feel to it. It looked out into the extensive grounds the hotel has to offer. Overall a cracking little spa break with amazing food and great service from the staff throughout.

Lovely hotel. I haven't used all the health facilities but looks good.

Really great service and friendly, location was really nice. So we're the facilities. Only thing that prevents a 5star room was that as a couple we'd have liked a sofa or a second chair but otherwise great.

Outstanding service (extremely friendly, but completely professional at all times).
Food was stunning and served quickly.
Golf course isn’t particularly tricky, but very well maintained.
We were 3 brothers who see each other very infrequently due to all living in different countries. We couldn’t have wished for a better couple of days.
