Popped in here to get a tripod. Had a great chat with the chap in there. Very knowledge and enthusiastic. He was very kind and helpful. I was astounded at how relatively inexpensive the telescopes were.

I went to purchase a pair of binoculars this morning and found the gentleman serving me very helpful and gave me some good sound advice regarding a suitable pair for beginners astronomy. I settled on a pair of 8x40 Pentax PCF WP II which were half price and excellent value for the spec. I look forward to using them to learn the sky and would recommend Sherwood's to anyone looking for observation equipment and it's great to have such a place, almost on my doorstep.

Visited today to buy husbands birthday present. Binoculars and a telescope. Excellent customer service. I had no idea of what I needed to buy. The gentleman talked us through everything, advice was honest and exceptional, not to mention his time and patience with me!!

So pleasant and helpful. I would have spent more money on more sophisticated telescope for young granddaughter. Suggested I get a much cheaper one to see if she still keeps her interest. Didn't have this in stock so will call when in.

I had been looking for a shop who dealt with and supplied Vanguard binoculars and found this company online.They are very enthusiastic and knowledgable in all things optical with information and advice for many types of binoculars etc.
After taking advantage of this info I decided on purchasing a pair of Vanguard Endeavor ED Series 10x42 binoculars , a decision I will not regret. These are quality binoculars with the optics to match many more expensive binocular makes ,plus they are comfortable , robust and most of all , easy to hold steady , I would recommend these to any newcomer who wishes to purchase a decent pair of multi-purpose binoculars at a decent price. They could not do worse than choosing this make and model.
