Beautiful pub set in the heart of Hampshire countryside. The interior is well decorated, nice and cozy with an open fire place. The food quality is pretty impressive. We really enjoyed our chunky chip, great texture and flavor. Looking forward to trying more of their dishes. It is 2 rosette and 4 star hotel so the menu reflects this. Highly recommended to visit this pub.

I had a one night stay whilst working in the area, as well as staying in the hotel I also ate in the restaurant.
The staff were all outstanding, from check-in to dinner to departure.
My company (not the hotel) had actually messed up the payment for the hotel but the manager handled this very professionally and kindly with the issue resolved smoothly and in no time at all my company were able to make payment.
I mentioned I had an early start and would be skipping breakfast, the next thing a hamper of cereal, and crossaints was brought up to my room, with fresh juice and milk in an ice bucket - so thoughtful and it made me feel so welcomed. The stay exceeded all expectation.
The hotel room was spotless, warm and comfortable. The open brickwork wall and thoughtful interior furnishings create a luxury vibe. The bathroom was tiled throughout with a monsoon shower head. The clean spotless bathroom also benefited from a heated towel rail.
Finally, I will mention the Woolpack Burger was worth the stay alone and strongly recommend it.

A really wonderful experience for a birthday getaway. The Woolpack isn't immediately surrounded by much so if you're looking to get away from it then this is the place. The food is great with one vegetarian meal per section even though it's known as a game-shooting pub, the rooms are a little on the small side but very nicely done up and the staff - oh, the staff! Every single person we interacted with was friendly, attentive and capable. We also drove to the brewery in nearby Four Marks and had a wonderful shopping experience at Long Barn. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and thank you again, Woolpack!

Some of the best food I’ve ever eaten at a pub! I had the chicken salad with a side-order of truffled mac & cheese. Absolutely unbelievable - never wanted these dishes to end!!
The portion sizes here are great, and there is an awesome selection of drinks to choose from. I enjoyed a delicious pale ale with my food 🍺
The service here is warm and friendly, and when one of my party had an issue with her dish (some of the mussels served had not opened) the staff were apologetic and quick to help, replacing the unopened mussels immediately. Will definitely be back 😇

We stayed in the family room last night. We felt welcomed but didn't book dinner as we weren't hungry. A bit later we were THOSE people who suddenly change their minds. The manager went out of his way to set a table and make sure we were catered for perfectly. Every member of staff was welcoming...especially the young lad that checked us in and the guy behind the bar was so helpful. We were seated in less than ten minutes. The food was exceptional and I was really pleased we decided to eat there. The bed was so comfortable and I would've stayed until the last minute if I didn't have to go to work. I also didn't use the little ice cold bottle of milk left at my door as I had to leave...I was gutted. There were really nice touches everywhere and I most definitely will stay again!

We stayed at the Woolpack inn for one night to split up a lengthy drive we were doing. We stumbled across this place and by chance they had a room.

I cannot recommend this place enough. Firstly, the grounds are beautiful and I’d imagine in the summer it would be amazing to sit outside.
We were greeted by the most friendliest staff. We were showed to our lovely room which was unique and well equipped. We both had an incredible nights sleep. In the morning fresh milk was left outside our door which was a lovely touch.

We also had dinner and deputy manager (I believe? Whose name I did not get, lovely Portuguese gentlemen) recommended us the Mignon for two. INSANE!!! I’d go as far to say it’s probably the best meal out we’ve ever had. Delicious. And we were so glad it was recommended to us. We also had starters that were just as good.

Atmosphere was lovely. And we felt very welcome. The same gentlemen (manager) had lengthy conversations with us and really made us feel welcome.

Lots of drinks choice as well! (My favourite being the pink mermaid gin)

Breakfast again was divine. And a huge huge compliments to the chef. We feel incredibly lucky to have stayed and dine here.

Thank you to the manager and landlord for everything.

We look forward to returning in the summer!

A lovely, well kept country pub. Popped in for a couple of drinks with friends on a Friday lunchtime. Nice selection of drinks and excellent, friendly service.

This is a really culinary experience in terms of the food. It's just amazing top of the range food and very reasonable prices for the quality. Not to be missed. Just it's a little of the M3 but the excursion off the road is worth every bite.

After much debate, I've come to the conclusion that this is the best burger I've ever had. Messy, but so tasty my mouth is watering writing this mine hours later.

Good service and a great atmosphere, particularly with the fire at this time of year.

The Woolpack is a lovely hotel. We stayed for one night in the family suite. Some nice touches, like real milk in a little bottle for making tea in our rooms. We enjoyed a delicious evening meal and a couple of games of pool in the bar. All of the staff were very attentive and accommodating. We’d definitely stay again next time we’re in the area.

I have had the pleasure of dining in this pub many times with family and friends and every time we visit we always receive such a warm welcome. The pub has a lovely old English country pub ambience about it and the food a real taste of fresh quality. I have always chosen game in the winter as its sourced locally and tastes full of flavor.

Set in a beautiful part of Hampshire, id recommend it to anyone to visit when in the area, we look forward to returning next time we are down

We have just stayed at the woolpack Inn and I have been iching to write a review since we got here. This place is a hidden gem. I booked for me and my husband as a treat night away child free and the relaxed and warming vibe of the pub was just the place. The room was clean and the exposed beams, stone and decor was really lovely. The staff where very friendly, knowledgeable and professional at the bar and dining areas, we were well served and they accommodated ordering drinks off menu as the evening went on. The food was incredible, and very unexpected. We have a few gastro pubs locally to us and none compare to the quality, inventiveness and design of the meals. Each meal presented beautifully. We where blown away by the food, so much so we ordered pretty much the whole menu! I would liken it to the quality at somewhere like Tom kerridge's, hand in flowers in bray. Truly exquisite. Thank you to all the staff for making our little getaway completely memorable.

We arrived late, after the kitchen had closed, the management did everything possible to make sure we had something to eat.
We had dinner and breakfast both of which were very good.
Our room for the night was very pleasant. Nice size and we'll equipped.
Staff were very helpful and polite.
I've only two niggles which are no milk in room for teas and coffees although had I asked they would have brought some, and the selection of beers and ales could be extended.
Would definitely recommend and return in future.
Thank you.

This pub is lovely.
The atmosphere, the vintage look and the service was all exceptional. I had the risotto for lunch and it was delicious. Filled me up nicely with lovely flavours.
I then had the sorbet which was coconut and it was lovely and refreshing. I also tried the local gin from Winchester and the flavours were just what I needed on a hot may day. It was so refreshing tasting a bit like Pimm's. I do recommend it if you are in the area to try the local gin.

The pub has plenty of space. Big dining area , outdoor area with a pizza oven and outdoor area at the side near the carpark with a play area for children. The carpark is quite big and they do offer rooms as well for you to stay in. The staff are so friendly, welcoming and polite. Always on hand to help you. The toilet facilities were clean and everything is well signposted.

Really enjoyed my afternoon at this pub and would definitely recommend going if you are in the area.

Perfect pub and place to stay - especially if you’re bringing your dog. The staff could t have been more helpful and friendly during our stay, food was excellent and such pretty comfortable rooms. Grassy areas outside and little jars of treats and water bowls in the room meant we felt super comfortable having our dog there. Couldn’t recommend enough, brilliant stop off point if you’re on a long journey. We will be back!

Just had a family dinner celebrating my 40th. Excellent venue. A real country pub feel, with the staff, menu, and food execution to back it up. So pleased that places like this have survived covid. The venison is brilliant 👌
