Lovely warm welcome from Sam & Richard, they are very attentive hosts.

Cabin immaculate, well presented and fully equipped great outside area to sit undercover on the veranda and enjoy fresh eggs from the owners chickens while overlooking the lakes.

Lovely lakes well kept by the owner, all fish caught were healthy, well stocked with different species.

Lovely walk up Rodney's Pillar which was recommended by the hosts followed by a relax in the hot tub, which is fully enclosed so can be used whatever the British weather decides to do.

Host also recommended the local pub The Bradford Arms where we had a lovely meal and is a short walk away.

Overall a great week had by all, whether your fishing or relaxing, very peaceful surroundings.

Darren, Lynne, Jodie, Holly and Millie the dog.

Recently spent 4 nights here in our Caravan. Both Sam and Rich very welcoming on arrival and during our stay. Fished both pools and was not disappointed, a very well kept fishery all the fish were in a lovely condition clearly very well cared for. Lovely quiet scenic place to stay, facilities lovely and clean. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to a visit again next year.

Spent the weekend here in my tourer and fished the course lake. The site in general is very attractive with good amenities- although there is only one toilet / shower this was fine as there is only 5 pitches and the site was quiet. The shower block itself was very tidy and clean.
The owners were very friendly and even offered us some eggs when in general chat we said we had forgotten them for breakie the next morning.
Fishing was great. The lakes are mature and very well kept with plenty of wildlife to observe when the action gets a bit slow.
I would definitely return and recommend to others.

Absolutely beautiful log cabins and surroundings. Lovely touches like red and white wine provided, beer and mineral water in the fridge, bread, bacon and fresh bantom eggs. Surrounding parkland is idyllic. So quiet. Will definitely be returning!

Booked last minute, one pitch left for our sprinter campervan...Richard ,the owner was a nice welcoming chap who was very interested in me telling him my grandfather owned this place before it became a fisheries. This was a working farm once and brought back amazing memoirs when I was younger. Sad in a way, but looks like Richard and his wife are doing a grand job in looking after the fisheries and land....full service pitch by the way. Look forward to visiting again.

Went yestarday after work to see with my own eyes hows over there as I'm living under 20 minutes from there. Here is my short review:

Absolutely stunning nature(Thus Shropshire & Powys doesn't lack of it).
The lakes are well build with good acess to the pegs(or whatever the word for it was). Definitely the owners put an effort to keep it tidy and clean.
The children deisgned playground is well positioned with safety bariers around the lake to prevent accidents in case they get to there.Smart move from the owners.
I don't know hows in the cabins but fro outside they look absolutely fine.

From fishing point of view: There is literally no unecessary rules and you could enjoy a good ol' fishing freely.Don't know about you but some private owned lakes has silly rules. What bite you can use, what type of groundbait, how much of it and so many other stupid rules which basically kill the fun.
As last but not least - the owners are very friendly and good people. I hate rude owners which lack of good manners toward their customers.

TLDR: Absolutely nice place to visit and kill some time.Would be there right now if the bloody(love this slang) brolly arrived in time.

If you spend time reading my review I hope you can forgive my poor english.

Edit: Just was there today. No sign of carp so I had to change the tactic and got few perch like the on the photo(from the carp lake). Over all I'm happy with the fishing today. Hopefully next time the carp will be active.

Edit 6/8/17

After some absence I went there in the past two saturdays. Last saturday I had 3 carp from the low stocked challenging carp lake and lost 1.
Yesterday I had a good day with 4 carp. 3,8 and 14 pound common and one beautiful 7 pound mirror. In fact all of the fish was beautiful. But I`ll let you judge the beauty of the fish on your own by providing you some photos ;)

Great place to stay. Dad dragged his cara box over. Him and the lad did some fishing whilst I took them for walks . Lots of wildlife and great fishing. Owners on hand if needed and very pleasant. I'll let Dad take me back as the nearby pub was great as well.

Great place to have a relaxing break. The cabin's are well equipped and spotlessly clean. The lakes are well stocked with good quality fish. And the owners couldn't have been more help.and Button the little dog even kept me company in my swim some days.

just come back and it is an amazing place to fish , we have visited spring heath twice this year and if you like your fishing with a 10 acre tranquil setting you will honestly not find a better place . the log cabins are very well thought out and very comfortable with hot showers , great central heating and all the mod cons except wifi [ younger children be aware ] but the local pub which again offers fantastic value has free wifi and is only a brisk 5 minute walk away.... richard and his family are so helpful you honestly wont want for anything .. their are 2 lakes and i fished the specimen lake [ my brother and huband the carp lake ] and i caught 7 fish in total lol .. our advise is bring some basic shopping to start the day off with then you can nip to oswestry which is about 15 minutes drive away and has all the supermarkets , shops , petrol stations etc you will need as the village is not very good for suppplies and their is no petrol station , the site does cater for dog owners so again factor that in as the barking can annoy none dog owners but we didnt mind and " buttons " the owners dog is enough to melt anyones heart ..... richard does sell his bait and you wont go wrong on it although i caught mine on bread lol so check richard and his family out as they are very genuine and we will go back in 2019 and bring some more family with us to share the hot tub / sauna at night and the fishing in the day .................... cant wait bliss !!!!!!!!!

I have just had a Monday to Friday break in spring heath cabin 4 and fished in the pond every day and what a pleasure it was all the fish were in excellent condition and put up a decent fight
The cabin was excellent and could not fault it the wet room a lovely addition
The cabin is excellent for disabled visitors with a gentle slope to the decking all the beds were comfortable and the whole place is spotless
The couple that run spring heath must take a lot of credit for the upkeep of the cabins grounds and fishery and I would highly recommend a stay at this lodge

Altogether there was 6 of us all 60 plus years old and the peace and tranquility was very welcome indeed

Myself and two friends stayed here from Monday to Friday at the end of September. It is such a lovely place. Cabins are spotless and so cosy. Fishing is great and the place is very secure. The Bradford Arms is a great pub that does good food. The local shop has everything you need. The owners are really helpful and nice people. Will be going back next year.

Rich and Sam have created a true wilderness of escape and the fishing is superb. Shout out to Charlie, their son, who's as diligent as his folks. A true model of a successful family business. Beautiful place 🤌
