There were 6 of us in our party on way to Shrewsbury. So I give them a ring to see if they could accommodate us for breakfast as we were driving past on our way. They said yes no problem look forward to seeing us. The welcome and the service we had was brilliant and very friendly, food was excellent. I would recommend it to anyone passing to call in for breakfast. Very reasonable price. Again thanks for welcoming and the food Ray 😊

We based our selves here for a couple of rides in the black mountains. We stayed in a camper van on the site making use of the facilities. The team were very accommodating, welcoming and friendly. A real gem of a find for our purposes.

Beautiful old hotel, steeped in history, visited there twice now, first time for an event, second just for a couple of nights away with my wife. Spotlessly clean and comfortable, but the establishment's biggest asset is it's staff, everyone we encountered was warm and friendly. Excellent breakfast and evening meals at very reasonable prices, highly recommended.

Called in just for a drink and to see the hall. Had a lovely cup of coffee and the gent who served us was very welcoming and had a nice chat about the hall and area.

Stayed for three days camping in grounds of Baskerville Hall in our campervan. We had a wonderful time. There was water, electric hook up, and toilet / shower facilities.
We used the bar and dining facilities and both were top quality. The food we ate included lamb shank and sirloin steak. The lamb shank was the tenderest I have ever been served. The staff were all very friendly, courteous and helpful. Lots of enjoyable walks to be taken, and lots of activities if you so desire. We just stayed for peace and quiet and were very happy. We will definitely be returning.

Wow ! The sherlock holms history/nestalgia and architectural marvel are quite something to set eyes on.The location is amazing and the warm friendly welcome and hearty food is not to be missed. It is a budget hotel and astonishing value for money. It is a little dated but perfectly clean and this is reflected in the costs but dont be put off its quirky and marvelous and I hope to stay again. 👌👌👌👍

This is a fantastic hotel.
I had room 9 which was more of a suite than a room. Majestic with beautiful furniture and the biggest closet I have ever seen.
The house has a faded grandeur which I love. Long May it stay open and unchanged.
Many thanks to Paul and Wendy who were fab staff and very understanding. Cathie

I stayed on the campsite here with a group of friends over Easter bank holiday weekend. We paid extra for electric hookup pitches and stayed on the smaller field right in front of Baskerville Hall. There were 7 campervans/motorhomes in our field and about the same number in the larger field so there was plenty of space. The pitches were nice and flat and the grass was well cut. Each pitch in our field had its own tap which was very handy. Plenty of showers and toilets which were cleaned regularly and had heating. There was also an outdoor washing up area with hot and cold water and a chemical toilet disposal point. The scenery is beautiful with views of the Brecon Beacons and the stunning backdrop of Baskerville Hall makes it an extra special place to stay. David and staff were very welcoming and friendly and our dogs were very happy with the fusses and biscuits they received. We will definitely stay here again.

What a gorgeous hotel and grounds, steeped in history.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, as was the owner.
Particularly loved the heated indoor pool and that you can book a private 1 hr slot.
Rooms comfortable. Nice hot breakfast with cold options available too.
Very reasonably priced and convenient location.
Lovely little surprise that there was a community live music session on the Wednesday night which I really enjoyed joining in for a chorus or two!

Stayed here recently for a corporate event, the team at Baskerville Hall were brilliant and bent over backwards to cater for us and our early starts. The hotel grounds and scenery were amazing! Highlight of the trip definitely has to be the grand re-opening of the famous Baskerville disco!

We would definitely stay here again!

What a place! Firstly what an amazing building, a genuine stately home! Room comfortable with super view. Bar good with lovely pint or 3 of Wye Valley. Perfect location for exploring this wonderful part of the country. We will be back!

Good stay in luxury hotel has its own pub inside. Food is offered but pretty basic *pub grub* but staff so friendly it didn't matter just added to the slightly surreal quality. Good base for hay on Wye and exploring Wales has Tesla Destination chargers as bonus

Great service, warm and comfortable, friendly atmosphere, quirky decor.
Vegan food, different meal every evening (not none, or the choice of 2 for the whole stay as at other places), expertly prepared
Great coffee.

With a very interesting history, beautiful surroundings, helpful and nice staff, it was a great visit. We were there for a birthday party and stayed over, had a sauna and a swim in the morning and went for a walk around the grounds. A really super place. The highlight for me was sitting in the reception area when the manager brought a cup of tea for the receptionist. I was just thinking that I would like a cuppa, when the manager turned and asked me if I would like one! What a star, and it was a lovely cup of tea too.

Firstly I would like to say what an amazing building, yes it's old but full of character. First impressions the staff were so welcoming and approachable. We met the owner David who is such a lovely man and is very hands on with the running of things within the venue. He didn't let on he was the owner though but we were later told. He gave us some info on the history which was very interesting to say the least. The chef was brill and nothing was too much trouble as were all the staff we met.

The views were stunning and well worth a visit. We will definitely return without a doubt.
Hope they don't change anything, keep running things the way you are now.
Thank you for a lovely stay.
