It is a brilliant cinema in the heart of South Wales. Also love its heritage being the oldest cinema in the UK. Staff are all voluntary but absolutely amazing, would never complain

Lovely comfortable seating. Very cheap prices . Catering for all ages and mobility range. Give it a go sound is just right not to overpowering

Very nicely dealt with in the foyer from paying for entrance to shopping .A bit disappointed with some of the seats that were badly damaged .

My first visit here tonight- which is shocking considering I'm 37 I live in Ebbw and lived in Abergavenny for 13 years.. it was really clean. Lovely staff and comfortable seats. Will definitely be supporting local in future and be coming here to watch all future films 🎥

The oldest cinema in Wales!! This is my favourite cinema. As a Brynmawr native it has a special place in my heart. We came all the way from Hereford to see Lyle, Lyle Crocodile. Lovely comfy seats, brilliant sound and visual, a good variety of reasonably priced snacks and lovely friendly staff. The popcorn is also the best I've tasted. A must visit place in the Welsh valleys.

One of my favourite venues both for seeing films and live entertainment, you won’t find better value for money or people more passionate about what they do anywhere!

Cracking cinema and decent prices too. Refreshments are loads cheaper than big chain cinemas

The Market Hall Cinema is a great surprise. We don't know the town and driving through it didn't leave the greatest impression. The Market Hall Cinema compensates for that with a truly characterful historic atmosphere enjoyed in plush seats and simply highly affordable prices with enthusiastic and accommodating staff. We understand the community took ownership of the running of this cinema and the result is a very welcoming cinema experience that the local community should cherish. As visitors to the region we wish we had something similar in our town and we're glad we made a long detour there to catch a film with our little ones when the situation didn't favour outdoorsy activities. Highly recommended.

Iv always had the best experience here. Staff are lovely, facilities are clean and well set out. Prices are honestly so cheap it's shocking. I Litterally had to check they got it right. From our children and ourselves thank you so much for all the wonderful experiences

Very Cool Cinema, Love The Lego In The Front Office, It's Very Clean But Looks Old, But I Kinda Like The Old Look, They Don't Sell Prime So I'm Not Happy, They Should Have Prime In The Sweet Shop, It Would Make It A Better, I Really Miss Peter Cuz he Was Funny, The Cleaner Is Very Good At Cleaning Because Its Very Clean In There, Defo Recommend It, Also Never Gonna Give You Up, Never Gonna Let You Down:)

Oldest cinema in Wales, a charity run by volunteers. Great little cinema with modern seating. Friendly helpful staff, will even serve tea or coffee at your seat. Patrons can make a donation and have their names put on the back of the seat. Always have all the latest films, premieres etc, gets involved with the community and holds open air showings on the square outside.

I can’t believe the value you get at this place. £14 for 2 children and 2 adults! We’ll only be using this cinema in future. Really happy!
