We saw Tony Wright here in November and he rocked! The staff were awesome and it’s an intimate venue, perfect for seeing new and upcoming artists… 5 stars all round (as there was a curry house nearby and it was awesome too!)

Great local pub with a small but regularly changing selection of real local ales. Doesn't do food. Though they are happy for people to order takeaways to the venue and will also supply plates and cutlery if you ask.

Recent refurb makes an already popular micro pub even more attractive. It's warm and friendly, as are the staff! Live music is back on the menu, too. If you haven't visited yet, you need to seriously ask yourself, why not?!

Now this is a place that you should visit. Lovely friendly bar, tucked away on the edge of Newstead village. Good choice of ales, and has a lounge feeling about it, very comfortable, well priced drinks, and at times even food available.
Lots of parking opposite, give them a try.
We plan to visit again soon

What to say about T’Pit ?? It’s one of those destination places and once visited you’d genuinely be looking for a reason (if one was needed) to return.. tucked away but easily accessible it plays host to many a good live music event. Serving an ever changing variety of extremely local real ales alongside other tiples, it’s distinctive and quirky decor is authentic in its antiquity and harks back to many a miners child memories. It has an amazing outdoor space too - perfect for a fine evening sipping and chatting & only a stones throw from none other than Newstead Abbey! Perfect.

A hidden gem but one I'll be visiting more of in the future... An excellent range of ales/beers plus a few guest ciders too. Friendly atmosphere and a brilliant beer garden/field! Only snacks on offer tho but still well worth a visit for quenching your thirst!

First time visit and really impressed! Nice fresh environment, attention to detail in the redevelopment has elevated the atmosphere beautifully. Dedicated and hardworking staff give the place a very pleasant and easy going environment for a previously underdeveloped area, which will undoubtedly benefit from the addition of The Pit!

A small one room pub off of the recreational ground in the small mining village of Newstead, which infuses 70’s decor and colours with nice vibes and good music. I was here for the Warren Ireland EP launch with Ben Mark Smith and Danny Small (ft. Hazz Kugelmann), and it was a great night!

Very friendly staff, reasonable drink prices, dog friendly and gender-inclusive/unisex/accessible toilets.

Great micro pub with a great atmosphere. Situated overlooking playing fields which I'm sure will be great on a summers afternoon or evening. Great range of real ales from local Nottinghamshire breweries, what is there not to like.
