The Pickled Ploughman

We popped into the Pickled Ploughman on Halloween as we were staying in Adderbury. The food, wine and service were excellent and we had a lovely experience. I had crab tart, steak and local hooky ale pie and finished with a mixed berries cheesecake. Delicious! Worth stopping for if you are in the area for sure 😊

First time here since new owners and the food was brilliant along with attentive and friendly service. Would definitely recommend it to others! Didn't take pics of mains however steaks were great. Here's some pics of the desserts which were also amazing!

Wow Service top notch, lead by Brett and Natalie and children. A really unique experience. The Mutton Bunny and Bilton Soup out of this world.

First time visiting here. Very friendly staff, nice relaxed atmosphere. Plenty of seating indoors and outdoors, with a marquee put up for some shaded outdoor seating.
Food was lovely. Burger was cooked perfectly. Nice sized portions. Didn't have to wait long. Dessert was spot on. Will definitely visit again.

A lovely lunch here, good distancing measures in place. Very friendly and helpful staff who obviously care a great deal about their customers and each other - great teamwork in action.

I live in the village and come quite a few times from coming back from uni. The food is amazing and good quality, the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming always. The pub is beautiful inside and out and I always know whenever I come I get delicious food and service. Will always return and recommend this to anyone who lives in Adderbury or is passing by. 10/10 !!!

My stepmother and I had a wonderful lunch in this friendly pub – our first visit since it had reopened after refurbishment. We were not disappointed! The food was excellent (duck breast for my stepmother and sweet potato, tomato and apricot tagine with couscous for me, followed by the most delicious Eton Mess I think I’ve ever tasted) and the service was friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely be back!

We went for Sunday roast, can't fault the quality and service, staff were very nice and a reasonable price. Would recommend this place

Had lunch with my grownup daughter today; delicious food & beer, excellent staff & service, lovely atmosphere. Decided to have 3 starters and a bowl of chips (tapas style) plus dessert. Great choice! We left full and satisfied. Would definitely recommend & will be there again! Congratulations to the new management; you are doing a great job.

What a lovely place! Very warm welcome, family run and customer service is very much their priority. (Something in short supply these days) Sat outside in the sunshine, then went into the dining area for a delicious dinner. Freshly cooked, great choice of dishes and not your bog standard pub grub. We had the sea trout and pork belly mains- both amazing. Cheesecake and malva pudding topped it off beautifully. So glad we tried it, and would highly recommend!! Definitely returning on our next trip through this way. Next time I'm having the scallops!

We all had a very nice meal here recently, we found the food really good,hot and well presented.The staff very friendly and polite.Photos added so you can see for yourselves. We'll worth booking a table as it started to get busy even midweek.Will definitely use again.

What a lovely, lovely place! Fantastic food, great choice of indoor, outdoor or marquee and the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and to look after you without bring intrusive.

Went in for a small family meal, we arrived early and was greeted by a lovely lady behind the bar who was extremely polite.
Sat us down at our table & the service was fantastic.
Also want to give the landlord (im assuming was the landlord) a mention because he was extremely attentive and made such an extra effort, there was a minor mistake with 1 meal out of 5 & he went above and beyond to rectify it even though we didn’t even mention it!.
Wonderful little place and will definitely be returning!

Popped in here for a bite to eat when on a cycle and have nothing but positive things to say about the visit! Food was outstanding and the local ale I had was very nice. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the menu was very good value too. Fab find!
