So good to see the Trowel and Hammer back open for business again. The changes are great. The food was absolutely delicious and the service couldn't be faulted. I am definitely looking forward to coming back next year.

Lovely food (they even knocked up some pies for us especially!) and friendly welcoming staff. They were great with the kids and the outdoor space was brilliant with ducks, geese, chickens and a very cute bunny. Highly recommended and wait to get the chance for a return visit

Wonderful beer garden with lots of different seating options, including a large covered area great for all weather. Lovely ducks and chicken in the garden and very tranquil, backing onto a farm.

The food we had was delicious, especially the burger. Classic pub fare done well. Service was also great, the barman was very friendly and accommodating!

We’d definitely return!

Fab dining experience with my family. The staff were fantastic with my girls (ages 7 & 10). I think my youngest would like a job here when she's older! Great food and very generous portion sizes too! We'll definitely be back😁

We visited this large traditional country pub, had some lunch and drank some fine ale and wine. The welcome was very warm and the hosts could've have been more hospitable. It was great to find a pub that was so inviting and felt we could have stayed there all afternoon. We will definitely be returning for some more good food, wine and conversation.

Great family pub, a proper local with great food. Genuinely friendly staff that chat to the customers in a non-forced, non-scripted way.
One of our party was Gluten intolerant and the chef cooked a special meal as they had run out of one of the Gluten free options. Above and beyond customer service.

Good range of beers on tap, lagers and ales. Fantastic garden out the back, the perfect place to stop if you're on a bike ride. Staff were very friendly as well. Food available but I've only had the cheesy chips. They were really good though!

The pub hosted a musical event here last night. Was a nice venue with reasonably priced drinks and a really nice garden area out the back. Would definetely consider visiting again on a standard night for drinks and maybe a small bite to eat.

This pub and the delightful family that run it make you feel so welcome-it really is like a home from home. The Sunday roast is fab and great value for money and with the addition of live music at weekends, this place takes some beating!

Our 1st visit to this pub was not a disappointment. The food was lovely, generous helpings and reasonably priced. We had 15 of us for a family lunch and we were looked after well by the staff. There is a nice big garden with picnic tables. All in all, we'd recommend this pub and we'd certainly visit here again.
