Travelodge Stowmarket Tot Hill

Simple and basic hotel but Paul on Reception made our stay here a wonderful experience. His friendliness, helpfulness and thoughtfulness were appreciated as he changed our room to a ground floor one for our comfort because we had a dog and he did this without us asking! Spent three nights here over a weekend which was relaxing and quiet. Thank you Paul for looking after us - Travelodge should cherish you! 🙏✨👍👌

It's a travel lodge, a clean, warm, but soulless overnight stay location. Totally predictable and as a travel lodge it gets 5* but they (travel lodges) are pretty basic. Located just off the motorway, (mind we went past the entrance as its well screened). Shame the Little Chef is closed though as there's no opportunity for a cooked breakfast nearby.

I have stayed her twice this year and enjoyed my stay very much.
The gentleman that works there, Paul,
is a great bloke. He's really friendly and very helpful.
All hotels should have a Paul. Thanks for making my stays memorable Sir !

I had the pleasure of being welcomed at this establishment by David. I must say, his customer service was outstanding! My booking circumstances changed unexpectedly and David went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was as comfortable as possible from the start. He was highly attentive, professional and always willing to help. His dedication to making my stay a success was evident in his actions and I couldn't have been more grateful. I highly recommend David to any guest in need of top-notch customer service.

I hope David gets the recognition rightfully needed by your company for the dedication and commitment he worked too tonight. I will be definitely be checking in the coming weeks by returning my commitment to him and going out my way to call him. If I had a vacancy available I would be offering David a job based on tonight’s experience alone.

Great staff. Location was quiet and easy to find. The rooms yes basic but clean what do you expect for the price. Will be staying again thanks!

We stayed here for 2 nights due to hospital appointments and I really do only have very good things to say.
The staff have been amazing especially Kirsty the manager and heather. You guys have been amazing throughout our stay. Thank you all so much and Kirsty enjoy your holiday to Florida.

We stay 3-4 times a year visiting family, we pick this travelodge as we like the quietness, staff always helpful and will supply anything you need, like extra coffee, toilet rolls, pillows etc. You only have to ask the staff on reception and they will help out with any request. Always an electric fan in the room which us great. Ok bit dark at night but take it slow and you can see the entrance. Shower always hot.

Absolutely brilliant hotel. A bit dated but that's good for Travelodge as it means the rooms are huge.
No lift but the chap offered to help me with luggage.
No restaurant on site but lots of food options in nearby Stowmarket centre.
Clean bedding, clean bathroom with no odd smells as you sometimes get in places like this.
Very well maintained, lots of parking spaces.
Will definitely be back

Amazing! Jude Was so friendly, never have I ever met much a lovely member of staff! He was so welcoming both time we stayed, normally I feel awkward staying in a hotel as I’ve worked in one myself but I couldn’t of picked a better place to stay thanks too Jude, lovely room and the second time he give me a room on a lower floor to make it easier as I was struggling with my ankle! Thank you so much jude 🙂

Paid £50 for two nights, bed very comfortable and shower was lovely, hot and powerful.
Easy to find and very quiet even though situated just off a main road.
Staff very friendly and helpful especially Danielle (I think) who was there when we checked in and out.
If I was to say a downside it would be that there wasn’t a restaurant on site other than that excellent stay!

Just booked in. Use Travelodge a lot. Still don’t understand why when you book a room for 2 adults your get one bath sheet & a hand towel. Used to get plastic beakers in bathroom gone! 2 teabags, English people & their tea come on. Well, asked the question at reception so got the towels. Asked for plastic beakers & more teabags. The super guy on reception came up with all & plates & cutlery. So Travelodge you still get our bookings, value, super clean rooms, & customer service. 7 nights here & confident be good.

For 41 pounds its amazing motel. Clean and quite big rooms, very comfy beds, good quality linen/towels. Staff very friendly. Quiet location, you dont really hear the A14.

Basic rooms at a good price, clean and comfy. Staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly. Lots of local food delivery options. Hotel is in a good location for motorway, stowmarket, Ipswich. And dog friendly. We will be back .

Great place to stay central to most places of interest and only a few minutes from either Stowmarket or Bury St Edmund's the only downside is that they don't have their own restaurant but saying that they are so many places nearby that do food or they are a couple of places that deliver so it's not really a problem. We have stayed there a couple of times now and can highly recommend it and the staff are so friendly and helpful excellent disabled access with the disabled room being right next to the entrance. Had a really enjoyable stay thanks

I was extremely happy staying ! I was a late booking and was settled in and dealt with promptly.. the shower took a bit of figuring but I got there.
One staff member in particular (heather) went above and beyond... many thanks Heather, you made a miserable circumstance into a pleasurable stay !! I

I would rate the hotel lower but it cost £75 for 2 nights so cannot grumble really. We stayed for a wedding and should have researched more for facilities. No bar, no restaurant. Nearest shop is 5 min drive.

However we ventured out into town and had a great time.

The hotel is situated in the middle of nowhere and the Little Chef that is next door is long closed, but if you are a business traveller or just want somewhere clean and simple - then look no further.

Breakfast is very uninspiring, however i should have read the website when it says BREAKFAST BOX - £5.25 for cornflakes and a long life muffin, not my ideal breakfast to nurse a potential hangover.

Just off the A14 in a quiet location so no problems with traffic noise. As always, a clean and comfortable room with friendly and helpful staff. No restaurant attached but close to Stowmarket and a recommended pub in nearby Haughey - the King's Arms.

Great location, good sized rooms, good WiFi. Staff were very efficient, hotel was quiet (heard no noise from those around us). A little difficult to find, the signage was discreet.
