A truly stunning location right on the edge of Lake Wyndamere. With boat and train rides right on your doorstep, along with some lovely walks.
The hotel itself was a real touch of luxury and all the staff were helpful, polite and friendly.
We also had a spa treatment, which added to the whole experience.
The food was delicious, especially the evening meal, which was incredible, with every course delivering a mouth-watering sensation!!
I definitely want to return and would definitely recommend!!

Spa day was great. Fab massage. Lovely chilling in the sauna and swimming. Was asked to pay at check in desk as pay points not working but it was check in/out time and was extremely busy. Service was a bit slow in dining room and I got the impression that the staff were new. All very young and seemed inexperienced.

We stayed 3 nights in the hotel. The hotel has a great location. We upgraded the room to the lake view, and it was worth it, The downside was that the windows can't be opened fully, only 10 cm It can be an issue on hotter days. Rooms required renovation, I'm giving 5 stars for the great location, next to the aquarium, steam train and boat pier (great when you stay with kids). The restaurant was ok , but they do not serve food after 8:30, and there's no room service, and no alternative restaurants around, also a glass of wine is £9, which is a bit expensive. The spa was great, it wasn't busy, our son loved the swimming pool. It's adults only from 7 till 9pm. But staff let our son in as there wasn't anyone in the pool.

Our third visit here - a lovely hotel in a wonderful setting by lake windermere. Very clean and comfortable room 107 with little patio. Excellent food and service in all areas. We look forward to visiting again very soon! Thank you.

Wonderful stay for 3 nights in May in a family room (courtyard view) with our 2 kids. The kids had a separate room off the main room (via double doors) with bunk beds so they had their own space. TVs in both rooms.

Spa and pool is awesome and really lovely treatments. Adult only swim times too after 7pm. Towels and robes provided.

Breakfast in the main room with the view over the lake is lovely although service can be a hit and miss. Worth taking your coffee outside and sitting in the patio (they have blankets to keep you warm).

The hotel is right by the boat jetty which you can take up the lake to visit other towns. There is also an aquarium and steam train, which we did not have time to do.

Highly recommend.

It was a beautiful hotel, the spa and pool facilities are great and it was a really nice touch that you can still use them on the day of check out! The food was very good but the kindness of the servers was even better!

We had a family afternoon lunch by the lakeside. Despite the fact that the staff had a wedding to attend to they were great. We had excellent and friendly service, good food and the manager offered us bags of duck food for the children to feed the cheerful crowd of mallards on the shore. A lovely lunch with exceptional views.

We have stayed in the Lodge (room 413) many times and went back there in May this year. What an absolute wonderful surprise. The Lodge had been completely refurbished from top to bottom and was absolutely stunning. Sited in its own private gardens in a raised position with unspoilt views of the Lake. We had as usual a wonderful time and would definitely recommend it.
All the staff were excellent as usual and we would like to thank David (reception staff) for all his help.

Beautiful place. Very relaxing and full of 'laid back elegance'. Stayed in a Garden Room, and we had our own little garden with a table and chairs. The spa was well run. Staff were working really hard but were always on hand to help. Small touches such as a 'what's in season' were useful when walking around the well-kept garden. Dinner was really tasty and the menu was varied. Breakfast was part buffet and hot food from the menu.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay here, we had a beautiful view of the lake from our room. We had a package deal which included evening meals which were all really superb - as were breakfasts. The hotel itself had a very appealing and relaxing ambience. The spa and pool were very pleasant. It was very convenient having the lake steamers dock just by the hotel - the steam railway was at the same location too. Would definitely go again!

Lovely venue with extremely comfortable rooms. Spacious areas on the ground floor. Choice of dining. Comfortable bar. Staff are brilliant, professional, courteous and helpful with a smile. Good parking facilities. Quiet area but easily accessible to main touristy sites. Lovely forest walk just across the road. Aquarium opposite also steam train to Haverthwaite.

Excellent Hotel and Restaurant.
We have a boat moored at Windermere and always visit the Lakeside whilst there.

As soon as you reach the hotel, you will be amazed by the beautiful view of the lake connected with the mountains.
You are greeted by great service that knows what you need when you don't have to say a word.
Nice calm but modern music that plays in the background from the very beginning only adds to the charm.
You can start with lovely coffee and sandwiches at noon and end with a lovely dinner made by chefs who will bend over backwards to keep you happy. Let's not forget about the service that harmonizes with the kitchen and guests as one heart. In your free time, a spa, swimming pool and sauna await you with its cleanliness.
If you fancy a longer evening with a drink, the pub is open all night long.
On a tough morning, you can expect a service that knows exactly what you need and will give you energy for the rest of the day.
My kids wanted breakfast in bed, of course it wasn't a problem. My every request was yes.
Thank you🙂
