Stayed here for 3 nights as short break. The room we had was spotless and that followed through the hotel.
Staff were friendly and approachable.
Breakfast was great- nice choice, could have as much or little as wanted.
Handy spot for that area.
Yes the road is busy but it didn’t cause us any issues and we had the window open at night.
I’ve seen other reviews that say the furniture was dated- yes but to be fair it suited the room we were in and n good condition.

The hotel is situated next to the River Leven which leeds into Lake Windermere. Just a few minutes drive distance you can find the Lakeland Motor Museum display vintage cars. Furtuher down the road is is the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway offering steam train rides. The hotel is easy to find offering car parking. If busy car park gets full due to limited space. You can have a nice drink at the bar or food. Breakfast is typical English breakfast, some more vegetables would be good. Check in and check out is easy. On weekends breakfast starts later. In front of the hotel is a bus stop. The lounge and bar offers a cosy feeling. Small spa and games room available. The views from the room facing the main road aee very nice and relaxing. You can go for walks along the river. Or bike ride.

Lovely hotel and staff, might not be the most modern hotel but I loved the character of the building, really clean, dogs can stay in any room and only £10 extra for pooch, lovely gardens and great location

Only stayed overnight after visiting the Lakeland Car Museum. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. The hotel is dog friendly and our dog was greeted with doggy treats at reception. The room was more than adequate for the price paid. The food at night time was enjoyable. The breakfast was was also enjoyable but the fruit selection was limited to pears! Grapefruit segments would have been nice. We will be back in the New Year without a doubt.

We booked in for a carvery while we were on holiday. The meal was delicious, the meats were so succulent, all the veg and potatoes were cooked to perfection. I had treacle tart and custard for dessert again it was so tasty. We sat by the window and looked out over the lovely gardens. Would recommend the carvery and The Newby Bridge Hotel. We didnt stay at the hotel so can not comment on the rooms.

This hotel has lovely, accommodating staff. There was one staff member called Jaward who stuck out to me that was very kind and was lovely to speak to. I felt instantly welcomed by the staff and the rooms were exactly what we asked for. The food was okay however could use some variations especially for vegetarians. Overall was a lovely hotel and I enjoyed my stay :)

Nice hotel located not too far from the lake district. Staff cordial and available, I did particularly enjoy the evening menu, which was changing every day, and the variegated breakfast. The hotel is provided of Spa and a swimming pool.
The area nearby, unfortunately, is not really serviced by shops or facilities and the nearest area with the possibility of shopping is not at a walking distance from the hotel, so a car is essential.

Excellent Sunday lunch at the Newby Bridge hotel. Proper carvery with choice of three meats. Some beef is available well done. Veggies were nice and firm and the counter service by the chef was fantastic, talking about the cooking etc. Table service was lovely, friendly and helpful. Have been before and will be going back again. It's hard to find a carvery in the lakes but lunch today was perfect.

THE BEST hotel and cabins! We have stayed here twice now. 2021 we stayed in the hotel, beautiful room, lovely staff and great food! We returned in August 2022 to stay in the new cabins and wow!!! We loved it that much we stayed for an extra night! No fuss, fresh towels each day and great room cleaning service. It has been taken over by new management and the place is thriving! Cannot fault this hotel, it’s stunning grounds and their amazing staff. Will be returning next summer. Thanks again for the perfect 4 nights!!

Just spent 3 nights in this lovely hotel. We stayed in one of the cabins with a hot tub. It was lush.
Our first family holiday and it couldn't have been better. The breakfasts were yummy and gave us plenty of energy ready for the days ahead exploring. The leisure facilities were great. The jacuzzi was out of order but we didn't mind as we had the swimming pool mainly to ourselves on 2 of the days and the steam was was great.
The staff were friendly and attentive, the helped us with any queries and gave wonderful day trip ideas to us who didn't know the area well.
This as well as being our first family holiday, was also our honeymoon. The cabin was the best choice. It was luxurious. It was a lovely cosy cabin, with a large double bed, a sofa bed, and a shower room. It all looked very new and was great. Having complimentary champagne and treats was the cherry on the cake.
Definitely would recommend the cabin here at Newby Bridge to anyone and I can't wait to return.

After a very long day and lots of travelling we booked this hotel very last minute. (No fault of our own) we had 3 children and 2 adults.
The hotel couldn't of been more helpful and accommodating. Our rooms where perfect, with plenty of space. All the staff are very friendly. We stayed for 3 nights and we all really enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Visited Newby Bridge today for a family event in the dining area - totally blown away by the gluten free banquet I was presented with - an extensive mixture of sandwiches, cheese toasties (amazing) and cakes - the rice pudding was also gluten free to top things off.
Newby Bridge sets the bar very high for any family gathering!

What a great wee hotel. I really enjoyed the pub area, very traditional, comfortable seating and a lovely big fireplace. Perfect place for a pint on a cold day. The hotel rooms were large, spacious and well equipped. The food was a high standard for a very fair price. I'll definitely stay here again the next time I'm in the area.

Absolutely loved it!
Room clean and comfortable with a great bathroom.
Food outstanding.
Staff brilliant led by the amazing Lisa who never seemed to go home but was always there working alongside here team with a big smile for her guests.
Thank you so much for the kindness you showed to my elderly parents, this was heart warming and exemplary, they still speak of you fondly.
We couldn't have chosen a better hotel for our family getaway.
We cannot recommend highly enough.
