Oscar's Cafe

A great spot to stop for a bite. The service was great and the food good. The prices were good and the bathroom facilities also good. Would definitely recommend popping in if you need a nibble.

Terrible dryers magnum multi dry newlec old osilly etc. But the cafe was amazing and old so I rate it 5. Perfect food.

We went to this cafe on Wednesday after the aquarium. There was a lady working here totally on her own, which we couldn't believe as it's a big cafe and very busy. She was professional polite and served everybody exceptionally well considering being alone. Nothing was too much trouble after selling out of sausage rolls more were in the oven she even took the time to bring them over when ready. This lady is a credit to you but more staff is needed

Great experience today, very helpful staff who were extremely diligent with our sons allergies. They made us up a sandwich for him and also had a good selection of soy free food. The food is simple but good quality.

Reasonably priced cafe with a limited menu. Fantastic views over the lake though. A great place to have a snack and a drink while waiting for a boat trip, or after being in the aquarium nearby.

The food was nice and the service quick and friendly. The only thing that could be better is having some cutlery and proper plates. All the tables, floor and seats were covered in food debris.

I visited Oscar's yesterday with my daughter and it was the busiest I have ever seen it, so was the aquarium. The lady behind the till was extremely polite nothing was too much trouble even though you could tell they were up against it. The lady and a young lad were verbally abused by customers which I found quite shocking. The food did take time to come out but we were told that on ordering, some customers really should be ashamed of themselves well done to the staff for being professional the company should not allow abuse like that to its employees

The staff were fantastic with our dairy-free son’s requirements. Lots of the bad reviews focus on the speed of food and it’s not fast. But it is good and reasonably priced with friendly staff.

Nice cafe and reasonably priced too. We only had drinks so I can't comment on the quality of the food, but the menu seemed to contain everything you'd expect.

Good cafe with a limited range of food and drinks. Reasonable prices and kind staff. The food itself is average - like any local cafe. Ketchup, vinegar, mayonnaise bottles etc are available near the billing counter so there's no sachet fuss.

However, given the beautiful location, and vast tourist visitations they had a great opportunity to play the big game. There's not enough seating space and soups will only be served if you are seated upstairs (which is not ideal if you are in a hurry). During meal times be prepared to face long queues (it’s the only cafe near the aquarium and the station). Serving burger took 25 mins while the other items - pizza slice, fries etc - were served almost immediately.

This is a gift shop too, sadly if you want to purchase trinkets / gifts you have to que in the same question as customers ordering food.
They must loose so many sakes as people can't be bothered to wait.
