Went for Sunday Lunch, it was superb; well presented and very appetising. Will definitely be repeating this experience.

Popped in for a quick lunch after a day of exploring Cumbria. The staff were warm and inviting and the food was delicious - big decent portions for such a good price. Based on this experience, we will certainly consider staying here for a few days when we next return to the UK. Lovely to have spent time in a traditional English pub with a modern vibe. Cheers from New Zealand.

We had a great Bank Holiday stay with 4 family members on the campsite and 2 others in the hotel. The hotel room was clean and spacious with two double beds. Views from window wasn't the best and there was noise from the road and farm machinery but we didn't mind as we were touring around the lakes and climbing mountains. Friendly owner, great price and everything we wanted.

Just home after staying for about three weeks in The Red Admiral.
We had such a wonderful holiday! Our room was comfortable, spacious, nice bathroom and a lovely bed.
The food is really great! And what makes you really feel at home is the nice, friendly staff. And even more so the owners David and Michelle.
They are always up for a nice chat, give good tips for trips in the area and are just super hospitable. We really hope to come back to this nice place!

Had Sunday roast at the Red Admiral on Sunday 11th Dec, with the whole family including a 4 month old. The owners went above and beyond to make sure we could squeeze the pram in and to make us comfortable. Very friendly and good service and the food was excellent. We would highly recommend! Nothing better than a roaring fire, good food in a beautiful traditional pub on a wintry day!

I had the good fortune to stay here over the weekend 14/15 May 22 & what an absolute gem. Great location, fabulous facilities & charming hosts. The evening menu was perhaps a bit limited, but the food was well cooked & presented. The buffet breakfast was outstanding, with freshly brewed coffee included.

I really wish I could rate this place higher than 5 stars but alas I can't. Back in September my wife and I were travelling from Kent to Scotland and we thought finding accommodation would be easy............ Well it wasn't and we ended up miles away from the motorway on the false promises of other accommodations. When we stumbled into tis place we were very tired and very hungry. The lovely people opened up the kitchen especially for us and cooked us a fantastic meal then they had a cancellation on a room which they immediately offered to us. True hospitality at its finest. May I wish you all the very best in life ☮❤

Excellent place, clean rooms with everything that you need there. Michelle & David were super kind to us, they prepared some food for us even when the kitchen was closed. They gave us recommendations of places around the area as well. The bar/restaurant is brillant! I highly recommend this place and of course I'll be back again soon. Thanks guys!!
