We absolutely LOVE this pub it’s so friendly and the food is amazing. Portion sizes are big which is a bonus! We love going for a walk at seascale beach and popping in here for our tea, and so convenient as we usually have the dog. The beer garden is lovely too they have so much to offer such as pool, darts, things for kids and TV’s in the background- perfect place to go!

Ordered a 16 inch pizza and two fries and some special lion sauce. It was amazing. Huge compared to the price. And massive hats off to the chef for the meal and the sauce was incredible. Super happy with the service from front of house and reserving a table in a short time was super easy. So a big thank you to everyone.

Very friendly and helpful. We had moved after checking in and straight out at a nearby hotel and were accommodated even though it was almost full. .Extended our stay by one night because we liked it so much. Food and drink were excellent in terms of both quality and price. Can recommend highly. Rooms are spotless and an unusual bonus allows phone calls to numbers including standard mobiles. One of many nice touches.

I went to the pub with a few people mid-week in February, there was lots of room, Good lighting, reasonable music level so it was great to converse. Great diversity of tables, tables with beer taps, boots, bar, square and round tables and play area with a pool table, Spacious and pleasant. There was a huge screen, but it was not intrusive - quiet 90's MTV tunes videos.

I got here as a part of my visit to the beach. I stayed at a lodge close to the beach and came here to get dinner. We had a couple of drinks here. Played at the snooker table. The bar tender was very pleasant and supportive for an ambivert like me I would recommend it to any ambiverts like me.

Stopped in with our dog for dinner. Very dog friendly pub with good selection of beers and food. We ordered the fried chicken and a hot pepperoni pizza. Portions very generous and food very tasty. Staff so welcoming, especially Natalie. Would have no hesitation in recommending a visit. 4 pints and 2 dinners less than £40. Bargain. Thank you all

Didn't expect a new style sports bar loads of televisions all round the walls and a massive projector screen showing football.
Staff very friendly and the beer was good, only food was a pizza and pint for ten pounds. The toilets are very clean and lovely, so my wife says 😉.
Would recommend.

Excellent food, we had salt and pepper squid and garlic mushrooms to start followed by prawn linguine and chicken curry. Served hot and fresh by the lovely Natalie. Smile from ear to ear and very welcoming 🤗 place is like a tardis, looks small from the outside but deceptively big inside, modern, clean and plenty of sports facilities. Would definitely visit again 👍🏼

Amazing place to stay and dine in. The rooms were great and the food was excellent. Staff was very friendly and the general atmosphere the place had made my stay that much better. The outdoor beer garden looked amazing and it was well decorated.
If you're in the area this is a must visit place and if you're looking for a place to stay this is it.

Great find in Gosforth Natalie & her team are very friendly and welcoming. Homecooked chips, pizzas & chicken kebab all very tasty & great portions. Lively comfortable pub well worth a visit. Really good choice of beer from Cumbrian ales & any other drink!

5 stars because it's very much what it says it is - reasonably priced, decent enough room, comfortable bed, tea making facilities. No food apart from fish and chips in the bar downstairs. Bed and breakfast actually meant "bed and a voucher to get a bacon roll from the bakery next door" but that worked fine (opens 7am and 8am on Sunday). Good option for a low cost stay especially if you are walking in the area.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. The village was a bustling little place but everyone was friendly and said 'hi'. The food was great, best cheesy garlic bread I've ever had 😊. The rooms were well decorated with everything you needed apart from somewhere to put your clothes but I really didn't mind that. Coffee/tea things were provided which was great first thing in the morning. The TV was great (a big screen aswell) and free wi-fi throughout.
Natalie from the lion and lamb was lovely, very friendly and made us feel so welcome. Well worth the stay.

We stopped in for lunch; service was friendly and prompt. We both had the Haddock and Chips: it was an incredibly, flavoursome, flaky fish in accompaniment to crisp, golden, fluffy chips, presented in an aesthetically pleasing arrangement. Price point accurately represented the quality of the food. I would recommend this establishment.

Absolutely divine food! We had the chicken schnizel, burgers, and pizzas and all of them were delicious. The take out portions were huge too! Looking forward to returning when we’re in the area.

Had a few days in the Lakes and came across The Loin and Lamb. The outside area was great with lots of space, no need to book a table- food was fabulous with huge portions and excellent value for money. Very friendly staff and felt covid safe. Huge praise to the chef👏🏻

Lovely staff, clean room, comfy bed, what else would you want for a peaceful night before heading to the Lake District 😊 my only suggestion would be to inform the neighbouring store about that the breakfast voucher is redeemed there. They didn't have a clue what's included.
