The Old Inn

Perfect place to celebrate our anniversary together. Food was very tasty, with good timings between each serving. The staff was very polite and friendly. His was our second visit and I highly recommend this pub. I will ne back to try the Pizza's. It has lovely areas at the back of the pub. I'm the garden, chill out areas, and a nice seating area out the front as well. Great parking with plenty of room as they have a car park opposite. See you again soon hopefully.

Greeted at the door by friendly faces who showed us to our table and orders immediately taken for drinks. Service was very prompt and all dishes were beautifully presented and delicious.
Beautiful surroundings and one day we hope to enjoy the outside area. Keep up the good work.

Well done team - from the wonderful reception by the Front of House staff, to the shamrock on the Guinness and sparklingly clean glassware from the Bar Staff, to the delicious food from the Kitchen team. This place truly is the epitome of great hospitality

Great food and reasonably priced although coke is almost more expensive than beer and they add a sneaky service charge which usually would be added for parties with 6+ people. Still, the service was good and the lady behind the bar was very attentive so that makes up for it.

Another great dinner at the Old Inn. Today I had the pork belly, followed by chocolate fondant. Others in the party had the rib tickler burger and the meat feast pizza, followed by the hot chocolate sundae and a Christmas pudding!Everyone loved their food!

Someone in the party ordered the side of muddy fries which were delicious, but a meal in themselves.

The decor and ambience here are lovely; a proper English country pub. Well worth a visit.

What a fantastic meal! Best meal we have had since we have been down on holiday in Dorset. The old inn pizza was probably one of the best pizzas I have had outside of Italy. Took all The family tonight including three dogs and we all loved this place. Staff were great and friendly and we were really well looked after, with a good menu choice available. We ate inside but did notice that outside had an eating area which was covered and had heaters if you wanted to eat or drink outside. Just wish this was closer to home as I would be regular. If you are think about eating here just do it, you won’t be disappointed

We came on Sunday as we were in the area. I've been here before a few years ago, and remember it was good food and service. Nothing has changed there. Service and food were very good. Dogs are also welcome both inside and out. Pleasant and quite atmosphere. A good selection of alcoholic beverages are available too. Be aware that service charges are added to the bill automatically. I personally have no issue with this, as the service personnel work very hard and antisocial hours to provide guests with an awesome experience. This is not everyone's attitude to tipping though, so be aware of this if you plan to tip as cash (or not at all) Parking is limited at very busy periods.

What a great pub with a varied menu and a great atmosphere. The best but was that they were very accommodating with regards to gluten free food. Always a bit worrying when the menu doesn’t mention it but the staff were excellent at adapting anything to be gluten free. Well worth a visit!

I visited The Old Inn at Holt on Thursday 17 September 2020 in the evening. I was with two other people. This was my first visit.

I parked in the pub car park outside - parking was easy.

The pub comprises of a couple of medium sized dining areas with plenty of tables inside and out with full table service.

The team were very friendly and welcoming and I had no issues - we got everything we expected in good time and enjoyed the experience. The inside areas are well lit and the gardens are also well lit and very nicely set out.

I enjoyed brie and cranberry for my starter and The Old Inn Burger for my main course followed by some ice cream for dessert. The food arrived hot, was well presented and tasted really good. There was a good selection of food and I found something that appealed to me easily. The food was good value for money, I paid around £35 for three courses and two large drinks.

Overall I really enjoyed my visit and would definitely come and visit again.

A fantastic lunch was had by my wife and I at the Old Inn,she had the GF Inn Burger and I had the Normal bun version, super food,great tastes and plenty of it, staff are excellent, very friendly and efficient and didn’t rush us, fantastic value for money and such a super place

Great Sunday lunch. Worth the trip. Very busy at main lunchtime so if you want a bit quieter go mid afternoon I guess. The beef was lovely. Not tough and not cooked to grey like some places.
I am fussy and this was lovely. Highly recommended

Super evening at The Old Inn on Thursday 21st December.
Bit of a hiccup over our reservation but was dealt with swiftly and efficiently by Connor. He has a great attitude and all the staff were attentive and friendly. A credit to the place. The food was excellent too!
Looking forward to visiting again soon.

I would need an extra star for the review of this fabulous place! 😁 we have chosen this pub completely at random and been very pleasantly surprised! The pub has it all, stunning building, with great outside (front and back) garden to sit in, beautifully decorated inside. Staff were great, attentive, very professional and friendly- very pleasant overall. And then there is the food, I do not have a high standard, but boy, did I enjoy the food at this pub!!! 👏👏👏 Best mushroom soup I have ever eaten (had other things as well 🤣)😋 to end it all, I have been pleasantly surprised with the prices. For the quality of service and the quality of food, I would have been more than happy to pay more!!! My new favourite pub, shame its almost 3hrs away.
If you are considering The Old Inn, please go for it, you will not be disappointed!!!

Best food I’ve had in a really long time, every course was excellent and we weren’t left waiting for long either despite them being busy. From the excellent food to the incredibly pleasant and warming staff I don’t think I could say one negative thing. Would 100% come back in a heart beat

Really excellent lunch for 16 of us. Everyone enjoyed their choices, which were served hot with veg cooked well. Pudds were excellent and the atmosphere was great. Thanks to all involved at the Old Inn.

What a find! Excellent food in a rural, peaceful place and the food is excellent!!
Swordfish main was dreamy and though it was unnecessary, choc fondant pud exceptional.

Fantastic staff make this a great place to stop for a pint or a meal. The food is delicious, we had a fabulous lunch.

Dog friendly. Haven't been here for years. Inside and outside spaces, garden at back, lovely covered, inside/outside area out the front, looked great but opted for inside due to wasp season. Friendly staff, food was homemade and well cooked, very tasty. Helpful about allergies. Was not as busy as it deserved to be on a Friday in the hols. Will definitely visit again.

What a beautiful pub wish I had dressed up more!!! went for a night out to see live music and found they have a massive pizza oven, food was epic as you can imagine! perfect for date night and location is a must. can't wait to go back!!!
