I called to see if they had an item in stock... A very friendly staff member took my call... Checked.. and held the item back for me to collect.

In the shop: A fantastic range of books and stationary... The person serving was friendly, professional and knowledgeable.

Lovely book store. Well laid out and labelled well for each section of genre of books....cute games, bookmarks and calanders etc for sale as well.

Absolutely love going into Gullivers on a weekend and looking for the perfect book. I can always message them and pre-order anything that they don’t have in the shop and support a local bookshop that way!

I have always lived near Wimborne, and Gullivers has been there as long as I can remember.
It is a brilliant book shop and they are all very helpful and knowledgeable. We frequently order books from them and the orders have always arrived quickly and in good condition.
Heaps better than buying books online because of they personal service you get.
They are also key to raising the profile of the town with their successful Wimborne Literary Festival.
We will always try and support this independent bookshop and long may they remain an important part of Wimborne.

Great to browse (I never fail to find a good gift for family), friendly staff and always an attractive selection of good quality Christmas cards, wrap and tags. Easy to order books by email, usually arrive within a couple of days. Very proud to have this small business in our town.

Very impressive selection of current non fiction and recent fiction ,especially crime. Excellent next day book service. Calm, pleasant, efficient, patient and tolerant service. Wimborne is lucky to have such expertise. Beautiful window displays.

Brilliant little bookshop, I can't help but pop in whenever I go past. Always willing to order in any books they don't already have!

My only feedback would be stocking more books with queer/nonbinary characters - I'd love to see more representation, normalisation and celebration of diversity on the shelves!

This bookshop is a wonderful place. Awesome selection of books, and that delicious smell of new books. Kids section is an adventure into wonderland. Football to fables, magic and mystery.

Gullivers Bookshop is quite simply the best! I live in Atlanta, Georgia and Gullivers in Wimborne is one of my favourite Indie bookshops! (Westbourne Bookshop is my other!) It’s so easy to place an order, they ship internationally and the books arrive very quickly. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable about all things books, and are happy to make recommendations!

They are a great stop for presents of all kinds, in addition to books, they have lovely cards, wrapping paper, puzzles etc. I’ve used Gullivers several times to send gifts to my family in England.

This is a family business run by one of the best families around! They are genuinely kind, authentic and have hearts of gold - no surprise their surname is “Angel!”

Having grow up in Wimborne I feel like Gullivers Bookshop has always been a magical part of my life. A wonderfully warm, family run business that is solely focused on the magic of books. Their range is extensive and their passion for encouraging reading at all ages is beyond anything the big brand book stores provide.
I now live in Scotland but every time my wife and I come down we make sure to check in on the shop and enjoy the ever creative window displays.

Fantastic bookshop in the heart of the picturesque Wimborne Minster offering everything from books, puzzles, cards and stationery! Staff members are helpful and friendly, and always seem to enjoy working there which is lovely to see. I look forward to returning!

Gullivers is a superb, family run independent bookseller. If they don't have a book, they will always order it. A visit is always a pleasure and in my view treasures like this need our support if they are not to disappear from the high street altogether. Recommended without reservation.

A cosy independent bookshop with an amazing selection of books, divided up into sections by genre, and new ones out on tables. Lovely friendly staff, who can order in things they don't have in stock. Close to a few different car parks as well as the bus stops in the square, so easy to get to.

Because Gullivers are happy to deliver overseas it means I’m still able to support my local bookshop even though I’m miles away. They always find the book I’m after and offer some very good suggestions for some new reads. Can’t wait for my next parcel to arrive!!!

We bought our 9 year old daughter a book Roller Girl by V Jamieson. Unfortunately the pages of the book were coming loose we returned to the shop and were immediately offered either for the book to be reordered for next day delivery or a refund. We opted for the book to be reordered and we were notified by text to collect. Great service, friendly, professional and very polite. Thank you

Wimborne is blest with a number of independent retailers that give the town a unique character that should be cherished.
Gullivers Bookshop in particular is an absolute delight. It stocks a wide range of titles, can get any book that is available within a day or two and the staff provide a level of service that is second to none.
If your priority is saving money shop with Amazon but if you value quality and enjoy the charter that independent retailers bring to wimborne shop with Gullivers and enjoy the experience.
