Again one of my favourites in the Gower. Perfect beach, can be good surf, fantastic views. The walk down to the beach puts off some people so the beach is never rammed. And you can finish your day off in the pub with an incredible sunset.

An interesting ship wreck makes for lovely photos and an interesting back story (look it up!), Just happens to be on one of the world's loveliest beaches too. BTW, it's below the sea at high tide, obvs!

A great bit of history. Be sure to walk to the middle of the beach to have a look round the wreck. Our kid loved to walk around it and see all the metal shapes that you can distinguish as being from a ship. When you step back, you can make out the shape of the hull.

Brilliant Beach. One of the best beaches in the UK. A place worth being during summer time on those hot day.

This place is hard to reach due to poor development of Wales public transport and its unpredictability so expect some inconvenience. I also had poor weather , very murky and foggy to the point that I could not see anything over a distance of 20 m on the top of the cliff . When I got down to the beach it was a little better . The wreck makes an impression even though there is not much left of it and it looks really great in composition with the long sandy beach . It is definitely worth all the transport trouble to see it so don't hesitate .

Absolutely stunning place to visit, one of the best beaches I have ever been to, certainly the best in Britain in my opinion. During the summer it is so warm and well shaded from wind. Stunning welsh landscape! I would recommend anyone to visit here! Just amazing! I would certainly love to go again next summer. 5 stars all round!

Beach was extremely quiet, and so clean. No bins so ensure u take your rubbish home with you. Did see some pop up tents being used. Toilets available at the top heavily sign posted to use at own risk, was able to wash hands but not dry. Whole area was very clean and not that busy so was a pleasant visit.

The wreck of the Helvetia, a wooden cargo vessel that ran aground here in 1887. Now all that is left are timbers sticking out of the sand like the bones of a dinosaur. It’ll probably be gone in a decade so enjoy it while it lasts. It’s a popular spot with photographers given the majestic backdrop of Rhossilli Bay. Best time to visit is low tide.

On Rhossili beach there is visible this there wreck. Some say she was run aground by a foul storm, others say she was lured onto the shallow surf by midgets with lights. All we know is that there is now a wreck. Which is quite a trek down from the car park. On a lovely day, this is beach is one of the very best.

I know nothing of the history of the Helvetia, but when the tide is way out at Rhossili the pools of water that collect by its remains are excellent for young sandcastle builders.

You find this wreck at Rhossilli beach. One of the most amazing beaches in the UK. Visiting Swansea and Gower, don't miss this out! :-)

One of the best places near Swansea. Very clean and big beach. Nice cafe, pubs and accommodations nearby.

Enjoyed a walk round the headlands and finished walking by this on the beach. Lucky to catch the hangliding above in a perfect blue sky.Altough in a conversation with a recent hanglider, who we chatted to when he landed nearby, the wind was dangerous that day because of the angle it was coming in at the cliffs. The sunshine was a bonus. Well worth go finding these ship bones at low tide.

The remains of the ship from 1887. Another point of Rhossili Bay. Definitely worth visiting. You'll only see it only at low tide

Just one of many wrecks around the Gower Peninsula, it’s shrunk away over the years as they do, but nice to see as part of a walk along Rhossili Bay

Lovely beach with miles of sand, the wreck of the Helvetia, rock pools and streams to dam.
