Utterly delicious and fresh cod. I asked for it without skin, and it was done without fuss and cooked to perfection.The fish flaked away when I ate it - wonderful. Charming staff and good atmosphere. I went and ate my fish and chips (the chips were also some of the best I have tasted) in the Minster gardens nearby. Thank you

Whilst staying at the nearby caravan site we called here at Saturday lunchtime. Friendly chatty staff soon had our medium haddock freshly fried along with bourbon chips.We quickly walked back and we weren’t disappointed. A good chunk of clearly fresh haddock was coated in divine crispy batter with plenty of flavour. Chips were just as good.

Best fish and chips in town, once you have had these you wouldn't want to go anywhere else. Beautiful large flakes of white Cod . Yummy!

There was a 10 minute wait( at 7pm), but there are chairs, while they cooked our cod and chips but it was excellent and fresh fish. 2 Cod and large chips for £14: isn't the cheapest but it was worth it. There isn't much parking available.

I don't say this lightly, but this is probably the best fish and chips I've ever had. Absolutely perfect. Chips are crispy on the outside, fluffy on the outside, and not too greasy. Fish was white and flaky, whilst being moist, with light crispy batter. Once again, perfection!

Family of 5 just visited while on holiday. Very friendly service. Large portions all cooked fresh. Even asked which fish you prefer before being cooked. Well worth the 15 mins wait. Not over priced. Would definitely recommend

This is easily the best Fish and Chip shop in town. I have the large Haddock which is beautiful, and it is usually cooked fresh for me, but well worth the wait. All of the staff are friendly so give this chippy a try.

Wonderful and friendly staff who serve excellent fish and chips. A good choice and range and well priced. Highly recommend them to anyone. Worth a visit.

Salisbury Rd: long wait, expensive, small portions, difficulty understanding broken English of staff. Terrible shame compared to Northgate St. UPDATE: Northgate st is open again, phew! Stars changed to 5 for Andy and his team

Awesome fish and chip supper served here; reasonably priced and the peas were a natural green, not coloured. Excellent dinner!

Had cod and chips from here. Lovely fresh cod, i asked the owner and the chips are cooked in vegetable oil so veggie options are available
