The Carew Arms

Looking for somewhere local to where we were staying for a family meal. We came across The Carew Arms whilst investigating places to go. This was a certainly good choice. A small selection on the menu but great food, atmosphere and service.

I’ve just moved to the area and of course, checked out my local The Carew Arms several times. I’m absolutely thrilled to be living next to such a great place, the staff go above and beyond for their customers, the atmosphere is friendly and inviting and I really felt welcomed. What a wonderful pub, have done the random pint, weekend pop-in, and roast on a Sunday and am impressed all round. Thank you Carew Arms for everything and see you soon!

Initial impressions were that there wasn't much choice mid week on the lunch menu. However the burger I had was one of the best I've ever tasted and my wife really enjoyed her pulled pork sandwich. The staff were very attentive and friendly.

Absolutely beautiful meal at the Carew Arms. Food was delicious and staff were so friendly and really made us smile. We will definitely return!

Great little pub in Antony. Walked from Wacka Quay and stopped off for lunch. Food was amazing and reasonably priced. Great service and brilliantly decorated.

I wish we'd been long enough to try the grub. After a long walk, rocking up muddy, cold and with a pooch, we were welcomed and settled by the log fire. Staff were helpful, offering the doggo his own water, and letting us sit in the restaurant area, even though we weren't eating. Would love to come again when back in the area

Country pub doing what country pubs do best. Great beer and tasty food. Summer early evenings, the picnic benches outside still get the sunshine.

Outstanding food and presentation..want a master chef experience..make sure you pay this carew arms visit..the restaurant is refreshing decor and comfortable..perfect and pleasurable..thankyou..

Had Sunday Lunch....It was really good not expensive, great staff, good beer.
The wife liked the place because the tables were NOT sticky ...it was nice and clean and the cutlery was shining, thats a rare find :))))
Yeah nice pub.....

We went with friends had 3 course lunch, it was absolutely fabulous! Had the tomato & basil soup starter, pork and stuffing pie w/ chips which were some of the best I've had. My partner had pork belly bites as starter and chili w/ rice main...perfect portions and finished with a delicious dessert of sticky toffee pudding with a sauce that was decadent and a chocolate mousse w/ cherries perfect ending to a delicious meal! Definitely would go back
Seating was extremely comfortable and we sat by log burner, as it was cold. If you haven't been I highly recommend. Service was great and staff very kind! : )

We ordered the steak and ale pie and the steak and kidney pie. They were the best pies we’ve ever had. They are delicious! Homemade at the pub.
The staff were so friendly and lovely and helpful. The pub is so dog friendly as well.
When we are back in the area we will definitely be visiting again!

Great atmosphere, wonderful food, nice and friendly service. I highly recommend

Fab Sunday roast, loads of beef, and a plateful of delicious roast potatoes, carrots, parsnip, runner beans (sweet and perfectly cooked), Yorkshire pudding, and pot of gravy.
Service was polite and discrete, and the bill very reasonable.
We booked over the phone, and were also able to choose our meat beforehand.
Looking forward to trying their other special evening deals, pies & curry!

Service and food really good. We were allowed to order small roast each and share a pudding. As seniors we can't eat huge meals and hate wasting food. Highly recommend this as all round friendly pub.

Great food ! Lovely friendly lady behind the bar, good quality pub food. You can sit outside in the beer garden and eat too. This place saved our skin when the pub up the road had stopped serving food at 2pm

Just came from Zero star Brightside. Stopped here for food. Made so welcome from the door. I got asked how I would like my drink. Taken to our table ordered. Food came out beautifully cooked and presented. I think I may have found my new local go to for food!! Lovely people real pub. With restaurant food!

Perfect fish and chips and delicious cider

Absolutely fantastic bar/ restaurant, the staff are so lovely and welcoming and will do anything to ensure we was all okay, the food was fantastic, honestly don’t have anything bad to say about the place, amazing prices for the size of the meals! Will definitely be back often.
