Sconner Down Campsite

This is our second visit six years apart and yet again we have had a delightful experience. The grounds are beautiful and so peaceful ; the facilities are excellent ; Pam was extremely helpful and the large shed/barn is such a brilliant resource in wet weather. We hope to return soon.

Great place for everything from camping to events.
Had an awesome weekend, the fire pit is amazing and we're seriously thinking of driving the 2hrs south at Christmas to go buy a Christmas tree just so we can go back :)

If you want peace and tranquility and the feeling of being away from everything then this is definitely the perfect place for you. Pam and her family are lovely and very helpful. Although it feels miles from everywhere, local amenities are actually very close by including beaches, woodland walks, local pubs/restaurants and Cornish villages.
Also children and dog friendly.

I loved it here so much! Pam (owner) is so lovely and welcoming and showed me where everything is and it was a pleasure to meet her. I was then left to my own peaceful little camp. Super quiet and a beautiful location. Had a walk around the woodland and woke up and had breakfast surrounded by beautiful trees. I will be back many time more for sure!!! Highley recommend, true hidden gem!

great location, lovely setting. Our scout group enjoy the freedom in the trees and open space. The facilities allow us to camp without bringing everything including the kitchen sink.

To me this is a very special place, it has a lovely feel to it and all very natural, no electric hook ups but has a lovely outbuilding with everything you need in it like kettle, fridge and sink, the owners are very nice and welcoming and I will 100% return. Thank you for a lovely stay

Highly recommended 5* camping in Sconner Woods in my romahome or tent, spaced out pitches for privacy, dog friendly, perfect friendly host, clean toilet and shower block, covered with fridges, washing facilities and phone charging points, quiet, peaceful and tranquil location, fire-pits/bbq, I have phone signal with EE, woodlands walks, walking distance to local pub

This is a most wonderful tranquil campsite set in fantastic woodland. The facilities are superb and Pam is a wonderful host. It is so peaceful and a great price too. Fire pits are provided and there is a lovely walk through the woods and the pub is a 20 min walk. The showers and toilets are well maintained and the barn provides washing facilities and fridges and charging points for mobile phones. This is quite simply the best priced campsite I have ever visited and is a hidden gem

This is a fabulous site where have had many great holidays and weekends away. The hosts are wonderful and the site is beautifully maintained and the facilities are really clean. Would recommend all day long!

One of our all time favourite campsites! Ollie and family are wonderful hosts. This campsite is beautiful offering a choice of places to camp, including in amongst the trees, it's never overcrowded. We held a large party here over a weekend, the facilities are fantastic, camp kitchen, fire pit, well maintained showers and toilets. It's wonderful for children too as there is so much space to play. Within easy drive of some of the most beautiful beaches. Whether you're looking for a great campsite for a holiday or looking to rent somewhere for an event, I couldn't recommend Sconner Down enough.

Fantastic family run campsite in a wonderful hidden corner of Cornwall. We intended to stay a couple of nights but stayed for a week. Oliver the manager can suggest activities for all weathers and tastes which kept us (parents and a two year old) entertained. The site is extremely child and pet friendly too. A real gem.

It's a really nice place ! The campsite is spacious and in fully greenery but without humidity. We can use electricity, free shower, free toilet, barbecue, microwave and it's very good ! Also, there is a big shelter and all at a ridiculous price. The owner is very gentle and welcoming. So I recommend this campsite.

Just had an absolutely amazing weekend party here. We organised a weekend mini festival complete with bands and food.
Oliver was fantastic whilst we were organizing the event as he was so accommodating in terms of what we wanted and also gave us lots advise about things we hadn't considered.
Oliver also set up power to our design and put up lighting and prayer flags which really brought on that festi feel. Oliver was at hand during the event to make sure we had everything we needed - having said that though there wasn't really anything else we needed as the site had been perfectly prepped for us.
The facilities are fantastic with proper bathroom and showers which allowed our not so "at one with nature" friends to feel very comfortable.
The kitchen facilities in the covered over barn were fantastic and greatly appreciated by our friends with small children and our caterer.
All of our hardened camper friends loved the woodland camping out in the trees, it was a beautiful place to explore, sleep and have breakfast.
Our friends with well behaved dogs loved all the walks through the woods with it's amazing views.
Spending the end of the night sat around the enormous fire pit was the absolute cherry on top.
Sconner down is fairly well sheltered, a bit of wind on the top field but nothing too troublesome. We were incredibly lucky with the weather as it was sunshine over the weekend. Had there have been rain we would have made good use of the orangery and shed there - both are nice sized spaces and I fairly sure would have housed all 80ish of us comfortably.
Most of our guests (even the ones that don't camp!) had never been there before but have enquired about camping there again as everyone I got feed back from thought it was such a beautiful, well provisioned place.
Only criticism is the horse flies but insect repellent soon got rid of them!

This is the second time we have visited and won't be the last, it's a quiet child friendly site with excellent facilities, the grounds are well kept and the owners friendly and approachable about anything Alfie had a whale of a time exploring the woodland and can't wait to come back.
There are beaches if you want them a short drive away or it has the perfect atmosphere to just sit back and relax without being too crowded.

Wow! What am absolutely amazing place - Oliver and Pam were fantastic and very accommodating for the party we arranged - we will definitely be back. Site was clean and well equipped and nothing was too much trouble - a hidden gem of a site - thank you so much.

Lovely beautiful natural campsite, with really helpful, but laid back owners. The woods, fields and glades have a magical feel to them. We could only stay one night this time around, but would love to return soon.

This is one of the greatest campsites in Cornwall. Amazing to camp amongst the trees. Lovely people run this place who do all in their power to make your stay simply sweet.

A wonderful and quite camping spot with nice showers and toilet block and a nice covered area to cook or just get out of the rain with beaches and towns not far away,if you want a peaceful and carefree camping spot this is the one and Pam the host is just delightful.
