The Shrewsbury Hotel

My friend and I were extremely well looked after last night when we were having issues with our food. I would like to give a HUGE shout-out to the top service from Yasmin the duty manager, she is the most wonderful human being who deserves ALL the praise. What a credit to Wetherspoons she is. We loved our meal and would come back any time she is working 🙌🏻🙌🏻

What can I say about WETHERSPOONS apart from, its great value and does exactly what it says on the tin...always.
My "chicken wrap" and chips were very tasty, and my pint of proper craft ale, just perfect.
The building is extremely impressive, and the outside seating area with a view of the River Severn and bridge is quite captivating despite the traffic.
Thanks to all the staff and Mr WETHERSPOONS for keeping up the good standards and amazing value and impressive locations and buildings!

The Shrewsbury Hotel is an excellent wetherspoons. There is the usual wide choice of beers, lagers, and cider, including five hand pulled cask conditioned real ales when we visited. The real ales we sampled were in excellent condition. There is a large outside seating area partly covered in front of the hotel. The place is nicely decorated. the staff were very friendly and efficient.

This hotel is the cheapest I've ever stayed at. Yet, wow! I was very pleasantly surprised by the space and facilities of the room and the huge sunny terrace in front of the hotel.
The food and drinks were good quality for money. And when the Monday after the football game Serbia-England I was sick, because of the mini Guinnesses that were served in shot glasses during that game.
The staff was very helpful and made sure I had enough water and comfort in the room.
On top of all of that, everything in Shrewsbury is within walking distance.
I highly recommend The Shrewsbury Hotel!

Fabulous stay at this Hotel.Already booked again for a stay next June but im sure we may pop down for a weekend before then.
Some negative reviews read on the food however we did not have an issue with the food it was spot on.Thankyou for a great weekend.

Can't rate the hotel part as only visited the pub part. Fish and chips on hot plates, thanked the kitchen staff ( hot food on hot plates is a winner 🏆, thank you Tim Martin) very busy and staff very pleasant and efficient...one of our favourite towns and public houses.

Another quality 'Spoons. Cheap drinks, quality atmosphere and friendly staff. Nice views and massive outside seating for when the sun shines?

Pub was full but managed to get food extremely quickly.

Great staff in the hotel and bar! Bed was super comfortable, loved watching the nightlife out the window, although not at all noisy late night. Bathroom floor could do with fixing, but did not bother us. Would definitely stay here again.

Location can't fault, service as per usual spoons, does get quite busy as close to the river and town.

I only had the food at the Wetherspoon. Amazing stake. Almost went for the same again.

Very very clean hote l unfortunatelly the lift didn't work at the time, though great value for money, couple of steps from train station .

Stayed for one night when attending a party. Friendly welcome, very spacious room and bathroom with super shower. Clean and comfortable, everything provided including fan. Reassuring to meet the night duty manager doing her duties around the hotel when we tumbled in at 01.00! Visitors with mobility issues should check their needs because there is no lift to the upper floors due, we were informed, to listing regulations. Mid priced and would recommend.
