Had a brilliant meal here. Michael and his staff, (a lady whose name I didn't catch), we're so attentive. Food was excellent and so is the venue. Highly recommended.
Had another meal this week for a birthday girl. 22 people all having fish or scampi and chips. Cameron and his staff were brilliant at accommodating us, pushing tables together etc. So good.

We only ate here so no idea what the rooms are like.
They are super dog friendly! Our dogs got fussed and gravy bones and loved it!
Very nice inside with a Fab beer garden.
I had a lamb Sunday dinner, I always ask for extra gravy because I am greedy but the chef was very generous!
A wonderful area for walking , so pretty!

Stayed 1 night because of a wedding at a local venue. Staff were friendly and the locals were also friendly and accommodating. Great value for money and lots of rural walks. The only downside which does not effect the venue is that the nearest shop is over 5 miles away.

Brilliant, proper pub: atmosphere, beer, fire - all terrific. Great service from highly skilled, lovely staff. Really, really good pub food at very reasonable prices. Only defecit: they were unable to prevent England from losing the Rubgy in the last minute.

Some great British pub grub. Had the fish and chips (massive chunky chips). Also highly recommend the Exmoor Sunset Golden IPA

Came in for a Sunday roast and were definitely not disappointed! Lovely, rustic, inviting pub with friendly staff and the roast dinners went down a treat!

This pub is basically paradise. I met up with old friends for a hiking trip after ten years away. We’d planned a pub stop but hadn’t hoped for much; the complete charms of this place as a pub are not readily apparent online. But it is glorious: roaring fire, friendly locals, snug room, joyous interior, good old fashioned food, fantastic beer. The Exmoor Gold was on top form, and the last few pints of the barrel were singing. Nothing about this place is forced or calculated, it’s built from years of love and use. When it was time to leave and keep hiking we all paused a moment, knowing once we were out that door, something would be gone forever. But the memory remains. What an absolute joy.

Really brilliant stay here as part of two days walking the ridges and combes of the Quantocks. The pub has a warm welcome with comfortable rooms. Food is excellent. We sat with a bunch of welcoming and friendly locals in the front room with the fire. We'll be back!

May 2024 - still great value, despite modest price increase. Their “sandwiches” come with chips. You will need a good appetite to appreciate them to the full. Washed down by an excellent pint of Exmoor Ale. Highly recommended

May 2023 Review: Great beer. Friendly welcome. Good service. And reasonably priced fare.
In fact, they take great Care of ew

Stayed here the night before our friends wedding at Crowcombe Court, which is a 2 minute walk away.

We had a meal in the evening prior to the wedding, the food was great and everyone who worked there were lovely.

Looking forward to returning.

We were attending a wedding at Crowcombe Court which meant The Carew Arms was the perfect place to stay afterwards. Only a couple of minutes walk from the wedding venue, it was extremely easy. The pub is very old, quirky and charming. The rooms were very comfortable and the staff were great. Had a hot breakfast in the morning which was very tasty and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for somewhere to stay in the area

One of the best hidden gems we have found. A garden with a view to behold, brilliant food, outstanding service and really comfortable rooms. Very much looking forward to the music festival in summer

Beautiful olde world pub, off the beaten track and around the stunning quantocks. Can't fault the ham , egg and chips, one of the best I've ever had. If you around the area, give it a visit.

Nice, old country pub with good food and very friendly staff! Would recommend the annual beer and cider Festival. Didn't try the rooms.
