Hoof & Hook Tenterden

I only popped in for a drink and to watch The Lionesses.
It was empty and I sat upstairs on my own in a beautiful room where they were showing the football.
A member of staff came to watch as well and was more than happy to keep nipping downstairs to get me more wine!

Today my daughter and I had a late lunch at the Hoof and Hook, Tenterden. The staff were all polite, courteous, welcoming, attentive 🙂 The mains were tasty, great portions and sensibly priced 🙂 I don’t eat sugar or flour so was going to pass on a dessert…but out of nowhere a delicious fruit salad appeared🙂 Very well deserved ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐We will be back!

What a lovely restaurant. Stopped here on the way back from Brighton to Essex and very glad we did. Lovely old building, very clean and well maintained, good food at reasonable prices and the staff are very friendly and attentive. Toilets were spotless with Moulton Brown handwashes and lotions. Excellent choice of beers, wines and spirits. I would definitely recommend Hoof & Hook.

Lovely meal this evening at the Hoof and hook! Great service, lovely food! Cocktails were very good! Have to park on the High Street as no parking at the restaurant.. quite pricey, but was a lovely treat!

Went in for lunch today and had a really tasty meal. Staff were very friendly and the restaurant has been decorated really nicely, great atmosphere. The variety on the menu is good and they have some nice ales on from local distilleries including Tenterden's own Old Dairy.

Lovely restaurant! Always come in the for favourite cocktails and they never disappoint, food is delicious as well as great service

Booked quite last minute for our anniversary and they were able to accommodate us. The food was superb and the service was great too

Lovely lay out very welcoming as we had a dog with us, food was delicious and well presented .
Staff friendly and professional, I will most definitely visit them again .
Keeley was the staff member, who dealt with us lovely .

I went there with few friends, I was absolutely amazed about the place and atmosphere. The food was unbelievably terrific 💯 as well as the staff (well done all of you)

The potato and rosemary bread with whipped smoked butter is a revelation, the ribs were sublime, and the staff were superb. They even knocked up a special treat on learning it was our anniversary, we just asked a member of staff for a photo of us. We were not expecting the lovely gesture! We are going back for more!

They managed to fit us in at very short notice. I'm a man,what do you expect!
Not only was the food extremely good but you had a plate full.
Staff were excellent, being very attentive but not overbearing.
Special thanks to Tom in the kitchen for the surprise at the end of the meal which certainly topped off a superb evening.

Nice place with a good menu including beef from the restaurant's own local farm. My steak was very nice! We also enjoyed cocktails and delicious desserts. The stylish lounge bar upstairs was the perfect was to finish off the evening.

Lovely meal, perfect size portions and served by friendly staff. Great decor too. If ever in Tenterden, definitely worth a visit

Everything about this restaurant was lovely. The food was delicious, and the wait proved it was freshly cooked and not something that was re-heated. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. They were so nice and patient with my toddler who wanted to walk around and explore all the nooks and crannies. Would definitely go here again

Had an excellent meal here with my family. The food was outstanding and they were really accommodating to our two small children, one of whom has an allergy. Very attentive service and super friendly. We loved it.

Had a lovely 2 course lunch. £15 per head. Really lovely meal, all produce either from their own farm or locally sourced. Great selection of food and good service. Flat iron steak amazing.
