Tenterden Garden Centre

This is one of the best garden centres I have ever been to.
As someone who works in aquatics, and someone with a plant obsession, i was AMAZED by the amazing range of plants and just how clean the aquatics section was!
I collect houseplants and found it insane that they had variegated plants such as an established string of pearls for only £9 which online would be over £40! They really had some rare, mature plants for shockingly cheap prices.
And for the aquatics, I didn’t see any staff, but it was so incredibly clean, they stock a range of the basic cichlids, Malawi and dwarf, lots of interesting types of gouramis, and some fingered tic tetras like black neons and blood fins, they also had AMAZING displays and beautiful setups for their bettas, all of which were INSANELY clean. I was surprised that there was a lack of livebearers though, they had some platys but I guppys or endlers which I was looking for, but it was a great selection for such a small shop.

Absolutely brilliant garden centre, plants very well taken care of. The aquarium store is exceptionally well taken care of! The staff genuinely care for the fish and it’s so refreshing to see. Very friendly staff, don’t live locally but wish we did, I’d be there all the time. Great cafe and play area for the kids.

My husband and I regularly go to have lunch on a Friday to the restaurant the staff are so helpful and polite and the food is good .We also go to the aquatic department Matt has helped us every step of the way with his right knowledge on how to keep fish we can’t thank him enough he is a great asset to the company, we now have an aquarium and are so enjoying our new hobby.

Had breakfast in the restaurant first, which was excellent, then had a good plant shopping experience with very good and helpful staff. Well recommended 👌

Best Garden centre for miles around.
Excellent selection of quality plants shrubs and trees at a reasonable price.
Everything the gardener requires pots, tools and more. Also has garden furniture and shop with all sorts of items suitable for gifts. Fish and pond department .
Ample free parking. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Well worth a visit.

The cafe/ restaurant is extremely clean the staff are very friendly and polite the food is very good with good size portions and the price isn't too bad. We go twice a month and don't mind 20 miles journey

Everything you could want there , lovely breakfast. Chairs in cafeteria could a bit higher for the tables perhaps some cushions.

Great easy going atmosphere, and the staff are very welcoming. We had the head gardeners breakfast, which was awesome 👍

First time there today been recommended yo go there for some new fish and I come out with a few too staff are very friendly and knowledgeable!! Will definitely be back!!

A big thank you to Matt in aquatics who advised me on what I needed for my new tank, I got all I needed plus loads of advice and help I will certainly be back for my fish 👍👍

Went there today and ate in the restaurant in the midst of the deluge. Both the indoor and covered eating areas were flooded but the staff were absolutely amazing, no dramas no fuss they just cleared the areas of water as quickly as possible, made sure all the customers were OK and to top it all the food was top notch. Well done to the whole team you are brilliant 👏

The café was so lovely, the food was really good. I recommend the bacon, brie & Cranberry toastie. The skin on fries are beautiful too. Lots of flowers and pots, really well looked after garden centre.

The garden 5. stars .The food we had was very poor .they don't know how to make cream tea.

We like the new layout, caught us out when we went to check out as they have moved the tills to the lefthand end where you now enter.
But all good.

Amazing plants and goods to buy. Cafe is extremely lovely, with lovely staff and fantastic food and drink options. We love their breakfast baps, especially their rolls and the staff are very kind and extremely helpful 😀
