If I could give more than 5 stars I would. On a small break with my husband and our dog and stopped in for dinner. Staff made us feel very welcome from the start. Our dog was welcomed so happily and fussed over which he absolutely loved. He loved his treats. Even had a dog menu (we opted for the roast dinner)!!! Food was absolutely delicious. Great atmosphere although was a little quiet. Definitely a hidden gem. If we were staying longer in the area we would definitely come back on a regular basis. Can't fault it one bit. Would have stayed longer if our puppy didn't decide to have a meltdown (sorry anyone who heard his racket)

Lovely friendly staff and atmosphere.
Choice of three roast meats.
Good selection of fresh veg and naughty but nice dessert.

Proper pub atmosphere and friendly staff. We paid a couple of visits during our stay in Braunton and were very happy with the choice. There's a small play area out front for the kids and a variety of seating options. Good food and drink, very reasonable prices.

We visited for a meal with friends and our 2 dogs while on holiday. Hospitality from Tine was outstanding and the food was beautiful! Thursday evening is Steak night, 2 10oz steaks and a bottle of wine for £35, great value. We 100% recommend if you’re holidaying locally don’t miss out and say hi to Tina who is a lovely host.

Huge thank you to Tina for a wonderful evening. Her service was amazing, very personal and created a fabulous atmosphere. All the food was delicious, steaks were perfectly cooked. Our two dogs were made very welcome too. Thank you for a great evening!

This review is over the 7 days that we visited. The food was outstanding on every occasion. The real ale was on point every night. The whole family was made very welcome. Our dogs were spoilt and fussed. Many thanks, Bob, Angie, Tony, Erin, Buster, and Skye

Having done some cycling my father in law and I fancied a pint. The pub didn't open till 12 but the lovely landlady served us 2 pints before 12. She was very customer orientated and greeted me with a lovely smile and served us 2 pints before 12. The pubs interior is nice and clean and worthy of a visit. We didn't have any food just a couple of pints. Would I come here again...... YES. 10 out of 10 for the landlady who went above and beyond for 2 weary cyclists.

Although we walked in just before food was about to stop being served, the staff made sure that we had something to eat . We had a plated roast which was delicious. The staff were welcoming friendly and polite.

Fantastic food, very welcoming & family friendly. The landlady & staff go above & beyond every single time we visit. Highly recommended by myself & 3 fussy teenagers.

New landlord and landlady. We were the only customers for most of the time we were there, but the pub was packed the previous night. We were made to feel very welcome and had a lovely conversation with both of them. Ordered curry, which came with nan bread, poppadoms, and mango chutney. The food was very tasty, well presented, and good value for the price.

Come here every Wednesday with a community choir. Couldn’t be made more welcome and the new management have done a great job with the place.

Haven't been here in years but will def go again. Carvery was very nice, even the nut roast which I can't usually stand. Great deal for mothers day too. Staff were extremely entertaining, a really nice atmosphere. They do a good 'flat wine' too 😆

The service here was amazing, the staff welcoming and the food was absolutely sublime. If you find yourself in the area please make sure you pop in. It's definitely a cut above the rest.
UPDATE:
This pub is under new management but still hasn't lost any of it's charm and appeal. It's very family orientated which is perfect this day and age but still comfortable to just pop in for a nice pint. Defiantly a place to visit. 5 out of 5 in my books.
