South 16

Once again, I've returned to South Sixteen fish and chips restaurant. I had another takeaway and it was fantastic. I was served by, Rich, Linby and Kelly, all who were very, very customer friendly. Great to have a chat. Why wait for the same meal at the competitor on the high street when the food here is as good or I think better. Give it a go everyone.

Tastiest and freshest-tasting fish and chips I've had in a long time. Saturday evening, no queue and just a short wait for the food to be cooked fresh. Will definitely come here again instead of the bigger one on the main road. Thank you.

Had to really thank the staff at South 16 for letting us get served in the restaurant 10 minutes before closing time. The fish and chips had to be one off the best lot I had in a very long time. The cheeseburger was nice and especially the chicken burger yes I did try my kids burgers. Would recommend it if any one is visiting the area it's down a side street not the 1 on the main road

Great restaurant, great food, great portions. Quite busy when we visited but served quickly. Staff were very pleasant.

Ordered online and collected, fish and chips, mushy peas and curry sauce were really tasty. Always good to support a small independent business.

Lovely meal on our way home from the beach. Good chips, great batter on the fish. My children said the pizza was good too!

We have just had cod and chips from South 16. It was absolutely delicious, good flaky fish, crispy batter, good well cooked chips with a bite to them. Excellent home made tartare sauce too. Highly recommend it. The staff and service are great too!

Excellent fish and chips and brilliant servi e. Lunch time special Small Fish, Chips and Peas with cup of tea or coffee £8.35 excellent value and nice white flaky fish with great batter. Nice restaurant with plenty of seating. Parking available in Caen Street Car park about 100 yards away.

Fantastic food at a very reasonable price, the staff were fantastic. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a meal in the area. We will be back again that’s for sure.

And not soggy at all (even at the bottom;) and the fish- flaky and soft. And ybe cherry on the cake are the stuff very friendly and professional. Thank you for an amazing meal.

Couldn't get in at any pub due to shortage of chefs everywhere but stumbled across this place. Extremely friendly and welcoming staff, good value fish and chips, ended up feeling glad we went here than anywhere else! Food isn't greasy at all and very well cooked, would come back again no problem.

Brilliantly fresh and buttery haddock and scrumptious scampi cooked fresh to order with light batter.
We particularly recommend a side of the homemade tartare sauce.
Unfortunately we left our mushy peas on the counter, but luckily the kind cashier ran after us and we were reunited. This was exemplary customer service and I would recommend South 16 over Squires any day for service and ingredient quality.

Staying in the unison Croyde bay hotel, I was told by a local resident and employee to try the fish and chips at this restaurant, I was not disappointed the quality of food was superb, all freshly cooked to order, very good portions, well worth a visit for top quality food.

A really brilliant chippy! Their online ordering service is perfect. Delicious, well cooked food & the service by their young staff is excellent.

Easily the best fish and chips I've had in years. We really fancied some decent fish & chips on our arrival at our Braunton holiday cottage and this place fitted the bill perfectly. Fish was meaty, batter crisp, chips lovely and fresh and the price was unbeatable. So good we went back again before we left.
