Camber Holiday Cottages

All aspects of our stay at Landgate House were fabulous. From the booking process, digital guidance, entry, recommendations and welcome goodies, they’ve got you covered. The house is quirky yes, but nice in its own way. Lovely to have somewhere to stay with character. Beds comfy and facilities very functional. Close to everything in Rye. We would stay again.

I stayed at the Landgate House property with some friends for my birthday and had a wonderful weekend. Such a beautiful house, so tastefully decorated, had all the amenities and a perfect location in the centre of Rye. Everyone I communicated with from Camber Holiday Cottages was super helpful and friendly at every stage. Would definitely book with them again!

Great place to stay - well equipped, great decor, super close to the beach which was perfect for the children. We were a large family gathering of 10 adults and 5 children - we rented seagrass and sunny side which have adjoining gardens which worked perfectly.

We have stayed with Camber Holiday Cottages for two years in a row now and have absolutely loved it. We stayed in different houses in Camber, and they were both stunning. Georgina and Emma and the rest of the Camber Holiday Cottages Team are tremendous.

We had an amazing time at Landgate house! Perfect location, and a really beautiful home that had everything we needed.

We really enjoyed our stay a the Recycled House. It's in a perfect location - literally across the road from the car park and path over the sand dune. We had plenty of indoor space for all five of us (adults plus three teens), and the outdoor space is fantastic. We enjoyed several evenings by the firepit. The recommendations, especially for places to shop and eat, were brilliant. Well equipped (we loved our welcome hamper!), comfortable, super dog friendly, and clean. Georgina was very quick to respond to my questions and bring over any items. We'd happily come back again.

Tips:
-The sun comes through the balcony door windows in the main bedroom upstairs, even with the curtains drawn. If this bothers you in the mornings, you might want to bring a sleep mask.
-There are no ice cube trays, so we bought a bag of ice from the farm shop.
-The climb up the sand dune is quite a trek, especially if you have lots of things with you/little ones/people who are less mobile. We enjoyed it, but I saw quite a few people struggle. Take it slow!

We had such a lovely peaceful stay at Barwon Heads. It was minutes from the beach and in the perfect location to relax, chill and enjoy some beautiful beach walks. The house was so clean, beautifully decorated and furnished with a very well equipped kitchen and they had thought of everything. The beds was so comfy with luxurious bedding and everything just felt lovely. The welcome treats on the table were a lovely touch and the digital welcome guide is super helpful with local recommendations and some history about the area! Thank you so much for a lovely stay! Will definitely be returning with more of the family x

Camber is such a fabulous spot. We love the long sandy beach and sand dunes are such fun for the kids. What makes it really special is staying at the beat places Camber has to offer. The Barn is a special place where you get a fabulous renovated barn surrounded by farmland and within walking distance to the beach. It’s perfect for a small family and has everything you need for a short or long stay (we stayed a week). BBQ dinners as the sun goes down was such a relaxing way to spend the evenings. We always book with Camber Holiday Cottages, Georgina and her team are amazing and their selection of properties outstanding (you need to get in quick).

Thank you to the Holts for making our holiday (family of four with toddler) very special starting with the complimentary wine, cake, tea, apple juice and chocolate, all local, all delicious! The Barn is beautifully designed and finished with quality furnishings in natural fabrics. We all agreed the beds are very comfortable with starched sheets and light feather duvets. The kitchen has all one needs with an excellent hob and oven, fridge freezer and dishwasher. We did not use the washing machine, but it does look new. Hubby was impressed with the selection of books - a first! - and we all enjoyed the games. So yes, a five star holiday in a lovely environment, not least the miles and miles of glorious soft sand.

The loveliest place we have ever stayed at. Beautiful inside and out with lovely surroundings among boat yards. The house is fully equipped with comfortable beds and sofas, 2 bathrooms with great water pressure for showers and the set-up is ideal for two families. The kitchen suited the cooks amongst us who found everything needed to cook full meals when the mood took them using fresh fish from just up the road. There were great games for children - board games as well as swing-ball which was a great hit with the children. And parking for 2 cars! Everything was perfect and nothing was lacking. Thank you so much!

Excellent location - a very short walk into town, close to beaches and Sissinghurst for those who enjoy gardens.

The barn has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It has a great social space which worked brilliantly for our family get together. Georgina provided a wonderful welcome pack which was a lovely surprise. It is a great location for the beach too.

We had a fantastic stay at The Recycled House in Camber. The location was perfect; just over the road from the dunes. The information provided before hand was really helpful in advance and throughout our stay. The space in the house and the garden far exceeded our expectations, and was very comfortable for two families and a large dog.

We had some issues with heating and hot water during our stay and Georgina couldn't have been more helpful. She really went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and to resolve the issues.

We will definitely be back; particularly as the issues have now been resolved!

Absolutely amazing home on the Beach - Casa Blanca. Had a fabulous 3 night break in this beautiful house. Light spacious cozy and beautifully furnished and decorated. Book yourself in - don't miss out! Really clean on arrival. Comfortable beds and linen and fluffy towels. Wonderful

We had such a great time at Chandler's Cabin. It is super cool, super comfy and has the most lovely views onto the canal. We rented it with our teen and pre-teen boys and they loved their studio with kitchen, bathroom and their own TV. It's a few minutes walk into Rye and there is a brilliant pub two minutes away. Can't recommend it enough.

We spent a week at this beautiful house and loved every moment! Very spacious and well thought through, equipped with all the essentials and more - little touches like candles, wine ice bucket, beach towels etc! Also no one was left behind and our doggie loved his own welcome pack, toys, bowls and a luxurious dog blanket!

Stunning! Highly recommended!

We have rented a couple of properties over the last few years due to the pandemic and to be truthful they have varied in standards, however the Blue House is without doubt the best place we have stayed in.

It is worth every penny just for the view from the main bedroom let alone the amazing beach the house sits on. Incredibly comfortable and I'm glad to say warm and cosy, the house is a real home from home and we cannot wait to re book.

A (not so little) oasis in Camber. The White House is lovely and exactly as pictured. The interior is great and we were lucky enough with the weather to spend a lot of time in the large, well-maintained garden. The locked gate from the garden leads right on to the sand dunes at Camber beach and onto the walks across the wide expanse of sand at low tide. The sunsets at the beach were magnificent. We all had a great time but I think the best time was had by our dog, who sat watching the rabbits in the garden after coming back tired from running miles chasing faraway seagulls on the beach. Georgina, at Camber Holiday Cottages, was very helpful and efficient; the welcome basket on arrival was a thoughtful touch. We are already thinking of how and when we can return.

We rented the Rye Bay Beach House for a week in Sept 2021. The welcome pack that greeted us was incredibly generous including tea bags, fresh apple juice, chocolate and a delicious fruit cake!

The property is immaculately presented; very clean and tidy with lots of equipment in the kitchen that you wouldn't necessarily expect in a holiday home such as coffee pots, large dishes, lots of crockery/glassware and the absolute cherry on top - a dishwasher!

The property manager, Georgina and Harry are VERY responsive and proactively keep the place in tip-top condition - the owners have picked a great company to look after this gem on Camber Sands.

One thing I must mention is something I've never seen before which is an online app that relates to the property giving loads of helpful information about the place itself as well as great ideas and recommendations for the area. The search function within it is invaluable - so clever!

Finally, we highly recommend both this property and Camber Holiday Cottages and have already pointed a few friends in their direction :)

A spacious, clean and comfortable cottage. A fabulous location, on the river close to Rye but surrounded by boats and birds. We spent a fair part of every day of our stay meeting the locals and watching the birdlife on the mudflats. Very relaxing.

Easy to navigate website. Well run, professional agency with a good portfolio of rental properties. Our stay in Casa Blanca was very enjoyable and as advertised. Would not hesitate to use Camber Holiday Cottages again when looking for a rental in the Camber Sands/Rye area.
