Fantastic pub with a great atmosphere. The landlady Sandra is so friendly and welcoming and so are her staff The food is delicious, the beer was spot on , it's all reasonably priced and dog friendly too. Would definitely recommend it

This is genuinely the loveliest pub. Small and quaint, yet the best pub food I have had in years. The staff are so lovely, and warming. Dogs allowed; they provide biscuits and water. The cheesecake, steak pie and venison stew are all 10/10. Thank you so much for your hospitality, and also to the server who had a house in Southfields!! So kind and great recommendations. I don’t usually write reviews but we felt compelled as this is so lovely!!

Wow what an incredible place to spend Mother’s Day with my children. Warm. Polite. Friendly. Accommodating. The food was as usual AMAZING!! Cannot recommend any more ♥

I had Sunday lunch with some family. The owners are such lovely people and the service was fast, friendly and full of humour. The food was delicious, and the portions very generous. Probably the best sticky toffee pudding I’ve ever eaten. Give this place a try, you won’t regret it

Had lunch in the garden with our 3 dogs, whilst on holiday in our motorhome.
Plenty of parking, lovely setting and very friendly staff. Food was excellent and we cannot praise the staff enough. They were super friendly and welcoming. Just wished we lived nearer as we would be regular visitors for sure!

Visited for Sunday lunch and we had a fantastic time. We were a very big table of 24 inc a dozen kids and Sandra the landlady couldn't be more accommodating. The lunch was delicious, portions huge and the desserts were spot on.

The pub itself is very clean and clearly very well maintained. The Hobson's best was a good pint. Would highly recommend a visit and would certainly go there again.

A great little village pub. No frills but with proper food at realistic prices. Very friendly staff and steaks were cooked to perfection. Would certainly return to give them my custom over next doors national chain pub.

We walked from a nearby caravan park and were very hot and thirsty when we arrived.
Lovely staff and friendly locals who made us feel welcome and dogs are also welcomed too!
We find that its hard to find decent and appealing vegetarian food these days but the veggie burgers were delicious! None of that ‘plant based patty’ nonsense here…The food was very tasty and seemed home cooked and fresh. Lovely! 🙂

Hardly leave reviews but on this occasion, this amazing little gem deserves one. Such a warm welcome from the staff who were attentive & genuine. The food was home cooked, fresh & delicious. The portions were plentiful & the drinks were spot on. A lovely pub full of very welcoming local peoples. Thank you

Had a lovely lunch here earlier this week. The chips were to die for, fat, crispy and fluffy inside, yum! Service was warm and friendly, felt almost like visiting friends for lunch.

It's a lovely quiet location, and there was plenty of shade available at the outdoor tables, a relief on a hot day.

Great value for money too. Heartily recommended!

I visited this pub yesterday and I’ve only got good things to say about this place. I was in a party of around 15 young people who had just been on a long walk, and when we arrived the staff didn’t hesitate to welcome us and get us all a drink. Service was kind and there was a cute dog walking around! To make things even better when it started to get dark a member of staff offered to drive us back to our parked cars as we’d walked 40mins away to get to the pub. This is a very kind thing to do and I know we all appreciated this act of kindness. Definitely recommend and will visit again if in the area.

We recently had a wake at the new in after a funeral of a dear friend at st Mary’s church!
The staff where so professional and helpful, putting on lovely home prepared buffet including some fantastic cakes!

A very warm welcome awaits you as you enter the premises. Light and airy but in keeping with the style of pub. Clean toilets. A small but varied menu. The food was served very hot and was delicious. The chips were amazing. Very good prices for food and drink.

Went here for the first time for lunch with friends. Good, friendly service. I had a lasagne which was really nice and was very pleased to be able to drink a Doom Bar Zero as many pubs only have 0% lager 😖

Good lunch venue. Friendly and helpful staff. Good beer selection.
