Please, just go here )
10 times more interesting than I expected, spent as much time here as I would at the v&a or science museum. especially good place for a local resident. Amazing volunteer staff all happy to chat and explain exhibits, felt like family, coffee good and cheap, gift shop great. Watch the 60s video, you will want to move here, Bexhill is awesome, feel better about living nearby! Who knew. Even usually boring facts were not somehow.

Great little museum spread across two floors focusing on Bexhill and the local area. There are a couple of model railways here too which prove to be popular. I particularly liked the area which showed clothing and toys, etc going back in time.

Managed to pop in here during the Bexhill After Dark event. Definitely worth visiting if in the area (small fee to enter normally).

Great little museum! Lots of wonderful, well-considered displays and thoughtfully curated. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff who were happy to explain in further detail. Both my daughter (7) and son (19 months) enjoyed themselves. Thank you to all involved-we highly recommend!

Exceeded all expectation. There is something for everyone in what is a pretty large museum. We went to see the model railways (which were amazing) but there was so much other stuff we were blown away. My wife particularly loved the costumes that were in a sort of time tunnel. Hats off to whoever put that together.
To see the Volta and Elvar was also something special but there is still lots more....
Special mention to the volunteer staff. They were most welcoming and were happy to engage with visitors to shed more light on the exhibits. 5 ⭐ all round.

Great museum, but I was disappointed with the motor museum, not many cars to look at, but the rest was very good. As they only charge £4 to get in, you can't really complain. My wife and daughter loved it.

Such an amazing place. So much to see. Lots to take in. Will definitely need to go back to experience more of what we missed. Affordable, with knowledgeable volunteers on hand. Something for everyone

A warm, friendly welcome on arrival. The staff/volunteers at the museum know their history and are really enthusiastic about the museum and history of Bexhill. Everyone was more than happy to answer any questions. Entry fee is a reasonable price too. The N gauge model railway layout was absolutely fantastic especially with all the special effects.

Had an amazing fortuitous new year's eve chance to meet the lovely patron of small trains and local history and she graciously gave us a tour of Bexhill in the 40s (and in the snow even). What a neat museum and town! Thank you!

Fantastic museum. So much to see! Filled from the floor to the ceiling with items.Great for kids and adults alike. Interactive exhibits. The volunteers were very helpful and knowledgeable. Special thanks to Tony who was so interesting to listen too with his tales of John Izzard and Spike Milligan.

The staff were a credit to this place. Not only was it a delight to walk around. The staff were informative and welcoming. I felt like I was given a history lesson and knowledge on Bexhill’s history. It was fascinating. Probably one of the biggest train models I’ve seen.

A little gem of place I didn't know existed. Priced very reasonably. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable about the exhibits. It's over 2 floors but is a lift available. Lots of interested bits to look at and had a few interactive bits for children to do which my toddler enjoyed.

Excellent museum experience and plenty to look at to keep the kids amused. Some very interesting and interactive exhibits. Particularly enjoyed Eddie Izzards train sets and the small collection of rare and interesting cars! Would also like to give a special shout out to the exceptional staff who were very informative when approached and extremely friendly!

Fantastic museum crammed with an array of historic and modern day artefacts including a record breaking land speed vehicle to a steam powered vintage car, 2 train sets owned by the renowned actor Eddie Izzard, dinosaur footprints to Egyptian artefacts and everything inbetween.
Well worth a visit, mysteriously the museum is like the Tardis, small on the outside and large on the inside.
Well worth a visit.

From the moment you arrive you are made welcome at this charming museum. The guides are extremely knowledgeable and happy to explain the exhibits. With four fantastic galleries this is a must see visit and the best £4 I have spent in a long time.

Very good museum for its size. Very friendly staff. Popped in a bit late today with the family. Amazed with all the artifacts from different eras of history, which I had more time to look more closely at everything, definitely worth a revisited. My partner and I had a good laugh when we saw a old Nokia mobile phone in a display cabinet both remembering we had that 😂.

A great local museum with an eclectic mix of exhibits covering local history, pre-historic dinosaur bones, a costume gallery, a model railway from Eddie Izzard, a classic car from the early racing history of Bexhill-on-sea and much more. The museum staff/volunteers are hugely knowledgeable and helpful. I would highly recommend a visit, it's a 5min walk from the seafront.

OH WOW!!, What a hidden gem this place is...

My wife and I often randomly pick places on the map and go take a look, this was one of the good ones.

This is a small Museum, just one road away from the seafront, blink and you'll miss it, but try not to as this was one of the best few hours we've had in a long time, where to start...

The staff - The staff are friendly and welcoming, happy to be there and love their jobs, that is obvious by the way they enthuse about the place, and we can see why.

The Museum - it is a lovely mix of old fashioned Victorian (almost) museum and modern day interactive, it is split into a few sections over 2 floors, the first floor is very much natural history and local history, but wow what a collection, they have some bits I am sure some bigger places would envy, head to the second section and I am sure you will find something that will make you say "oh wow I remember that" I know I did, look out for the mint "Star Wars" bits I was very jealous.

Downstairs is a small model railway that is a snapshot of Bexhill Christmas Day 1940, the attention to details is just brilliant, and it all works, buttons to push and small details that will keep you there for a while. I wont spoil it for you go and take a look, well worth the few pounds it cost to get in.

On a personal note I would like to thank all the staff there for making us feel so welcome and answering my dozens of questions, Kudos to you all.

Very friendly, personal service, we visited on a quiet day, visitor-wise, and the lovely staff took very good care of us, with detailed explanations of the exhibits and displays.

Thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommended.
