Very nice place with a lovely atmosphere. Service very good, perfect with all the details. Drinks menu awesome, a lot of choices. The starter is very big. The othe food wasn't our taste but everything else was very good. Will be back for pizza.

Lovely Italian on the outskirts of Edinburgh. Atmosphere and staff very welcoming and very accommodating. Luis was very lovely!

Food was fantastic, I would recommend the sausage pasta, and make sure you grab yourselves the goats cheese focaccia. Although we’re not from around here, we will return whenever we visit Edinburgh. 10/10!

Delicious Italian food & amazing atmosphere. As soon as we stepped into the restaurant we were greeted with friendly staff, great atmosphere, and most importantly amazing smells of great food.
My husband had the mortzarella fritta starter which is great. For mains the Gigi pizza, great pizza with nice crispy dough. The middle of the pizza rather soft, but still great quality pizza.
I had the seafood arancini al granchio (crab & lobster) which was amazing! For mains I had the paccheri frutti di mare (seafood pasta) which was one of the best seafood pasta I have ever had - delicious!
The only downside is the parking space, no parking on-site. With instructions from the restaurant, we parked 5 minutes away at a local football ground parking lot.

We had a fantastic evening at GiGi’s. I wanted to take my Mother out to celebrate a belated Mother’s Day and it was a wonderful time and my Mother was thrilled. Everything was perfect, food, drinks, surroundings and ambiance. What really made it a pleasure was the wonderful wait staff, everyone who tended to us was very pleasant and happy to chat with us. Thanks so much for the wonderful hospitality and experience. We look forward to coming back soon.

We absolutely loved our meal here tonight - delicious fresh bruschetta to start, sausage rigatoni and the Gigi pizza as main.
Service was very good and a lovely chilled ambience.

Really lovely staff and an excellent meal
Staff were lovely and super attentive. Made sure to check on allergies and poured wine before we knew we needed it, so 5 out of 5 for staff and attentiveness

We had buratta, focattia (which was more of a garlic bread), and scallops. The scallops were a serious dish where flavour had clearly been thought about, balanced with sharpness of apple gel and the creamy cauliflower puree

Main we split the beef cheek pappardelle and the ricotta and njdua chicken pizza. The pizza felt lacking but could have been because we had eaten so much. The pasta was delicious.

For dessert, we had the pistachio donuts and a cocktail each. Total came to just under £140 and included a bottle of white and 2x cocktails

10/10

Booked Gigi’s for my mum’s 60th birthday, which was absolutely brilliant.

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff & they even brought out a dessert with a candle without being asked for free.

Every detail was perfection - service, food and the design of the restaurant (they’ve clearly spent a lot of money on the architect).

Thank you so much for making our night!

Travelled through to Edinburgh from the West for a birthday visit to family. Didn't want to travel in to the City for food, so found Gigis was close by on Google and took a punt on the Google reviews. Wasn't disappointed. Service great, food even better. Think I have found my new favourite Italian when visiting the East. Cheers guys.

So good. I had to tip twice.
What a modern charming Italian.
Parking was a pain but even that is not enough to knock a star off.
The table was booked online and was quick and convenient, some of the staff were Italian and so was a couple of the customers so you know its a good place.
The waiters were friendly and engaging. The sauces were fresh, along with the pasta.
It was clean neat and very nice.

I was recommended this by a local, as I was in the area a few weeks ago. Made a point to come by while I had some family visiting and it was well worth it.
Great waiting staff and fantastic food.
Will definitely be back

This family owned restaurant made us feel quite at home. The Owners are lovely, staff attentive, and space creatively and impeccably designed.

This would be a weekly haunt if we lived here. ❤

Called for reservation and was given a table deapite it being busy. The service was excellent from the start as it was both quick and with a smile. The meal was really well done and was the right amount for each course.
