Cineworld - Ely

We have an Unlimited membership to this cinema and absolutely love it. All of the staff are so friendly and with the membership card the drinks and snacks are reasonably priced. Lots of fun promotional events and unique screenings make this a superb cinema

Really charming cinema, I really enjoyed the sparkling floor. The staff were fantastic and helpful. Chairs were decent for the ticket price. Went to see an old rerun for the 85 year anniversary of batman.

Great little cinema. Load of free parking and lots of great places to eat after the movies. I prefer to go to Ely than Cambridge and it only takes 30 minutes.

Clean, tidy cinema with friendly staff. Expensive, but you pay for what you get.. comfy seating with plenty of options for food, drink, seating etc.

We love Cineworld in ely , the Staff are always polite and very helpful.. we watched Sonic the hedgehog 2 and we all loved it.

Cineworld is located at Ely leisure just off the A10 at the roundabout leading to Little Downham. As you arrive you enter a huge carpark that has several takeaways each served by the quality carpark and each outlet has several dedicated disabled bays. Cineworld has several disabled bays opposite the entrance. The footpath is smooth with a slight incline leading up from the carpark but nothing too challenging for wheelchair users. There is also two car charging points in the car park but sadly they are in the corner by the swimming baths. Way too for for me to tackle. The cinema itself is staffed by friendly helpful staff and we found them to be happy in their job. Ticket prices are the same as all the other cinemas and reasonable, the food is expensive as one would expect but if you want the entire experience you get what you pay for. The reception is clean and well presented as is the screen rooms as well. We did notice that many of the people entering were struggling to see which row was what, maybe the illuminated alphabetic row indicators needed cleaning as they are walked on all the time. Toilets were all clean and all stocked with the necessary requirements.
A good cinema offering everything you need for the complete movie and snack experience without worrying about carpark charges . Highly recommended.

First visit today, it was very quiet and nice. It was cool inside which was nice as it was a hot day. The staff were really nice and helpful, the guy taking tickets was very helpful and even opened the doors to the cinema for us. It's a fantastic facility for Ely, and it certainly won't be our last visit.

Paid online, which took less than 5 mins. Chose seating online. Arrived on time for the advertised showing of 6.10pm , showed reference code to the assistant at the entrance to the screens. Encouraged to get drinks and snacks before going thru to our seats. We didn't want anything, so went straight in. (IF you plan to purchase drinks, etc, then give yourself an extra 10 mins before the showing time)
During these COVID times, the cinema insists on 2 empty seats between your group and the next group of people. In our case, we had a whole row to ourselves. I think there was around 20 people in that whole auditorium.
Comfortable seating in Screen 3 (not the luxury seats, although, happy about that, as it makes it easier for me to fall asleep in those seats!).
Film started at 6.20pm after only 10 mins of Ads and trailers.
Used the Ladies toilets afterwards,,, bright and clean everywhere.

The seats are so comfortable and the screens are very cosy so perfect for people who struggle in big crowds.

Use it all the time. Clean tidy and not over expensive. It's nearly an hour from us, but you can visit Ely before watching a film and lots of eateries near by.

I love this cinema. If I had to make one criticism I often think the sound could be "bigger"; it's not just that it could be louder, more it needs a bit of Dolby going on or something.
Still, we watched Guardians 3 in Screen 1 and had a blast!
Update: 11/11/23 still great! Review stands, if I'm super persnickety I sometimes thing the images can be a bit soft and could be sharper.

Coming here was a new experience for the family and I. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the facility and the CANDY WALL.

Very good will go again very good place to go easy parking some good places for food so anybody want a evening out go try it out

I love the set up and intro when you enter the cinema and I like it has so many activities and food joints in same location

Fairly new place. Nice and clean, the spacing between seat rows is bigger & better than other Cineworlds i've been too. No need to stand up to let people by.
Lovely Baskin robins icecram is always a bonus. Ample parking and good food around too

Thw employees are always nice and there are great family tickets and snack deals.

Andy was absolutely fantastic with his customer service! An absolute joy to be served by and hope he recieves recognition for his hard work!

Overal great experience. Huge screen and lots of parking spaces outside. Sound of Freedom is a must watch. 5*
