The Royal Sun

We've just had a lovely evening at the Royal Sun; it's really nice to be offered poppadoms when you order drinks, our curries were delicious, and an excellent pint of beer. Shelly looked after us perfectly. We're looking forward to visiting again.

We went for an early evening meal on a Tuesday The food and service were excellent We will definitely be returning! Thoroughly recommended. The choice of Indian/Nepalese food was enticing and well priced, it was also cooked to perfection.

Such a lovely place to go for a meal. The service is always exceptional and the food is always good. They have a nice outdoor area as well. Happy to go back every time

Excellent Indian food and friendly and attentive staff. My husband tells me the burger is excellent also. I had the chicken madras and it was delicious. Frequently I find restaurants make them fairly mild and bland and I find myself wishing I'd made it at home, but this one was fresh and had a good amount of heat. The poppadoms were great and the lime pickle was outstanding. The only thing that was simply good but not great was the naan (and it certainly better than most just not exactly what I like). Having lived in Bradford, I thought I'd never find a place locally that would be up to snuff. Can't wait to go back!

We dropped in for lunch, had a huge surprise, new owners, new menu. The staff were attentive, the menu looked great, and the food, was incredible, just WOW!!! The ambience was good, the place should be over run with customers, if you love fusion foods, Indian/English it's an absolute gem of a place, mango chutney is the best I've ever had, their version of chicken ceasar salad, was incredible,
different, but flavoursome. We will be returning, what a fantastic place.

Loved the food, service and atmosphere here for a delicious sunday brunch ! Very reasonable prices too! I had beef roast and my husband had lamb. Both were perfectly wonderful.

We recently attended The Royal Sun for a work networking event for lunch and had a fantastic experience. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the food was excellent. Highly recommend this place and can't wait to return!

Wow! The home-made poppadom chutneys are the best ever. Really top notch food. Definitely coming back again.

We came to the Royal Sun on Mother’s Day for a lovely roast with our family. The staff were delightful and welcoming whilst being very attentive. The atmosphere was great and food was delicious. Will definitely be coming back again soon!

Lovley place, stoped off with some freinds for a meal yesterday, usually come once or twice a year, fantastic meals with good options, great atmoshere and very welcoming staff, would highly recomend!!

Eat here every few weeks amazing curries and service is always the best, recommend this restaurant as a must try for all curry lovers, waitress staff shelly and hannah make you feel looked after and a valued customer

Such a wonderful pub that needs to stay open!!!
3 of us went for drinks & dinner.
It’s a comfortable pub, with all the right vibes.
The menu is small & not your usual pub prices, but for good reason.. the dishes are put together with a quality found only in top restaurants. My colleague ordered the main vegetarian dish, & I ordered the prawn,avocado & cous cous starter with fries, expecting a naff prawn cocktail dish, but it was so much more- absolutely delicious & worth every penny.
At the moment it is shut on Mon/Tues, but looks closed all the time (they are not allowed to light up the outside too much as they are close to the road). Please go here. Make it viable. Keep it open.
