Hartham Lane Car Park

Big car park with many spaces and in a very convenient location to access Hartham Common.

Nice area, would love to come there again

Cheap parking next to the river. Free with a blue badge.

Good location for a nice walk

Good car park for access to Hartham Common, Sainsbury's Hertford and for access to the River Lee or Mimram (far side of Hartham Common) and of course Hertford. The exit road can become very busy at weekend and peak hours, making leaving, longer than usual. Also far end of carpark (furthest from entry) is good for launching canoe/ kayak/ paddleboards etc to the River Lee. It does feel a bit desolate and I would probably not want to leave a car overnight. If you want access to most of the above, but further from river isnt an issue, exit is quicker at busier times from Hartham Common carpark (entry from Port Hill).

I preferred it was a railway track.

Careful big holes

This place is a pain, pay and display. Which is bad enough, but the carpark is long and narrow, and the machine is in the middle. So nearly always have to walk back and forth. There is also only one path, and road in which makes congestion a paid with it being so thin.
