Great menu , good sized portions. I had the hallumi and avacado salad. Dogs are also allowed inside.
On two flloors with a daily specials board. Also do great fresh mint tea.
Can get busy around 12-1 but staff very attentive and manage the tables. Ordering from the table, good selection of cakes etc

Great little cafe, has entrances at each side! Open a little later than other cafes which was handy after a day in the local hills. Good selection of coffees/hot drinks and some treats to eat as well.

Incredibly friendly and welcoming staff, who were very lovely to our little dog who enjoyed all the fuss.

Food was great, particularly enjoyed the caramel latte I had!

Great cafe with delicious food and drinks! Great selection of gluten free options. There's plenty of seating upstairs and downstairs. Dog friendly and really helpful staff. Table service and pay at the till. Well worth stopping in if you're in Penrith.

A lovely cafe to come for lunch. Hot Lavazza coffee. Plenty of food choices. The soup was Mexican corn & red pepper which was delicious. It came with a fresh warm bread roll. The cheese & ham toastie was also good. The nachos were also good as well as hot curly fries! We sat outside with our pooch and they gave her some complimentary doggie biscuits! The cake counter had plenty of choices!!

Love the Narrowbar Cafe, best place of its kind in Penrith. Fresh food is always deliciously made changes accommodated without faff. Friendly staff, clean venue (and loos), there was a short wait for a table at our last visit - always the sign of a good cafe. If passing Penrith on the M6 don't waste your money buying overrated overpriced food at Tebay Service, drop into Penrith. We always visit here or Mr Browns in Brampton when passing by, but Narrow bar is probably more convenient.

Really lovely staff that catered for my vegan dietary requirements. My dog got biscuits too.
It was all really appreciated

Everything we had was made on the premises, including the rolls. The best hot lemon and ginger tonic, all freshly made with real ingredients. Tasty homemaking, moist and healthy. A treat to find it !

An entire vegan menu! Really delicious food which is also reasonably priced too. Vegan biscoff tiffin was a particular favourite!

The most amazing cafe in the whole of the Lake District! And such great vegan options! We got the vegetable wrap with homemade hummus and let me tell you that salad was sensational :) The way they cut that cucumber was so inventive even my sister was happy and she usually wouldn't even eat cucumber! The sweet potato was cooked beautifully :) We tried to recreate the wrap at home and honestly it was not the same :( The staff were amazing and welcoming and the takeaway packaging was environmentally friendly. I've been thinking about that wrap ever since and I'm so sad that I live so far away in London but when I'm back in Penrith, I'll be there for my wrap ;)

Admittedly we simply chose the cafe because it did not have Union Jack bunting on the outside and we were in desperate need of a decent lunch. We had the quiche and the salad from the specials board, both were excellent and the quiche came with a dressed salad and coleslaw that was more than cursory. Just what was needed on a hot day. Many thanks!

We use this coffee shop as staff are always welcoming and so friendly, the atmosphere is amazing, we can take our dog in and staff make her welcome too. Coffee is excellent and food excellent too. Since moving to Penrith we have our favourite regular coffee shop and visit at least 3 times a week.

One of the top cafes in Penrith, great food, staff and delicious Lavazza coffee. Small but comforting, the cafe equivalent of finding a fiver in an old pair of jeans...

Amazing food, friendly staff. Treat yourself to one of the most amazing vegetable chilli nachos I have ever tasted. Full of veg, mild in spice but full of flavour, even as a meat eater it has to be one of if not the best chillis I’ve had. Don’t worry they also do a beef version for those who aren’t sharing with a veggie.

We ate homemade gluten free cake and coffee here a few times on our trip to Penrith, lovely cake and lovely staff, even though our dog did try to eat you, but loved the treats, lovely decent sized cup of coffee, not a horrendous sized mug, you can get them if you want though.

Fantastic staff and atmosphere, good wheelchair access and ground floor seating. Food and drinks second to none, vanilla latte that I had was amazing. My partner had the smoothie and was happy to see it was all fresh ingredients. The poached eggs on the eggs Benedict were perfectly cooked. The full English breakfast was great as well. In all honesty I haven't got a bad word to say about the place, will most definitely be returning on my next visit to Penrith.
