GO Outdoors

Was blown away by the size of this store. They have an excellent range of products that will cater to most of your outdoor activities. The prices are good and the service is excellent. Definitely worth a visit but be warned, you’re going to spend money there, it’s too tempting not to.

Fantastic huge warehouse full of outdoor gear, anything from bikes, boots, fishing gear, tents to clothing. If you're on your way to the lake district or passing on route to Scotland pop in, you won't be disappointed. Prices are brill.

Good selection of walking gear (& other stuff) extra 10% discount with a national trust card, English Heritage and blue light card. Probably others too, but those were the ones remembered the lady on the till mentioning. Also do price match. Prices usually competitive to start with.

Brilliant customer service in this store. Pretty much every time I’ve been in.

Can’t state enough how friendly and helpful everyone is from store manager, Nigel, to Becca that served me, to Tony who was great when trying boots on.

Nice big store. Friendly shoe guy helped with choosing the right pair of boots, and gave some great advice on what to use for a couple of foot problems. Prices are competitive compared to other outdoor clothing places.

I had to return a pair of walking shoes that were a few months old, but which had virtually no wear and tear. A component of the shoe had failed. Excellent service from the staff who facilitated a solution, including a search against my account to see when I'd bought them, as I'd lost the receipt. Great range of stock, and very helpful staff.

A great shop being larger than some close by. Helps big time to be a member though.

Sharing this in the hopes that my thanks will be passed on, the guys working at the shoe section at Penrith store today were awesome! Knowledgeable, patient, and super helpful with a grumpy / fed up woman who's gone from store to store looking for female B2 boots and other technical kit.

I was grumpy because I couldn't find anything I needed in the women's clothing and there were only 3 B2 options to the mens' 8, (and that was 3 more than other Go Outdoors stores I'd visited - come on, sort it out, it's 2023 women also go mountaineering). But the staff were brill and really helped me find a pair from limited choice as well as lifting my mood - I didn't catch their names but I'm mega grateful :)

Bought a head torch they had a good selection. I bought one that you can switch on and of and was bright

Fantastic customer service! Stopped here whilst camping in the Lake District as our berghaus air 6 nightfall tent had a leaky air valve. Online they showed having a valve tool in stock. However, the staff were unable to locate one in the store. Not to worry, Nige sorted us out one of their own air valve tools so we could be back up and running again!! Thank you 🏕

We would like to thank the staff at the store, particularly Andy. We had some major issue with our horizon air beam 7, he was very professional and helped us out of difficult situation. I couldn't have asked for a better service.

Went to exchange boots as let in for a second time in 3 months exchanged no bother! Staff couldn't of been more helpful, plus mic or Mike on shoes like a dad sorted us, 5 star for the older more experienced life staff in there

Went to buy a tent last Sunday & the store was busy, but the sales person, Alan Conway, was brilliant! He spent time explaining the difference between various tents & airbeds, he got the items down for us & helped us through the checkout, even telling us about National Trust discount! We’re members but didn’t know this.
All in all a great experience 👍

We have been to several GoOutdoors around the country but this was by far the best. From start to finish they helped us even with us trying on several hiking books. CRAIG’s knowledge was brilliant.
