Forget any of the big supermarkets, The place is fruit and veg heaven with such a wide range of quality produce. I was served with a smile and a bit of banter 😀. Cash only (which is brillant) I'll be shopping every time I come to godalming.

Went into Amy Lou’s yesterday (18th Nov 23) and selected some oranges and plums and went to pay contactless. The male owner stated they only took cash and said very trustingly and casually “ That’s OK, just pay when you are passing next”. What an amazingly trusting and helpful person! He had no idea I wasn’t local, but I take my hat off to him for being trusting and so kind. I actually managed to grab some cash and went back to thank him. I do visit Godalming often, so I will now make a point of using this shop for all my fruit and veg requirements, and take them home. Incidentally, the plums and oranges were gorgeous. I would urge others to support these very accommodating small businesses in Godalming especially Amy Lou’s! Thank you so much sir, I will be back! Jeff G

We are in isolation at the moment. Phil & Ross are true legends. We took our delivery at home within 4 hours of ordering - and all this for £16?! Legends in their own time. Thanks guys.

This place takes the time to ensure that the exterior looks colourful and appealing. Everything looks lovely.

I love this place and really should visit more often. This is a proper green grocer and it is an amazing place to take the kids. We pop in when walking around Godalming and my kids buy something to eat whilst we shop. The fruit and veg is top class and the owner usually gives the kids a bonus item or two. Can't fault it.

I stopped here quickly after a full day class I attended. They had gorgeous strawberries and blueberries that I wanted, and went inside to pay. I took out my card and then realised they only deal with cash. I wanted to go find a cash machine but the owner Russ INSISTED that I take the produce and pay him next time I'm in. I was gobsmacked. We had a chat about community and helping each other.

I have rarely come across someone so trusting and caring. I'll be back with his money and purchase lots of beautiful fruit and veg. Honestly I still can't believe it and want to thank Russ profusely.

Fantastic local business that deserves support. The chaps are always very friendly, welcoming and helpful. I really enjoy buying my fruit and veg here. The prices are fair and reasonable, and there is always an excellent range of produce. A brilliant greengrocers.

Great quality fruit and always very friendly. I bought some very tasty juicy cherries today which were superior to the local supermarkets and cheaper too!

Blown away by this place. A decent man looking after an honourable trade. You can tell he loves what he does and was incredibly knowledgeable. He not only sold me some very very good fruit it was at prices miles better than at the supermarkets. He then went out his way to introduce me to fishmonger across the road. I could not fault the man. 300gish of big juicy ripe blueberries for £1. I’d rather go to him than some overpriced, underripe, poor quality supermarkets.

Love this old fashioned Fruit and veg xhop. Good honest quality and price. Thw guys that own this Phil and Ross have years of experience and always buy fresh from the market most days. Thw prices are really fair and they always serve you with smile. If youa re in Godalming give them a go, just up the hightstreet from Waotrose.

Just like others I experienced the pure warmth and generosity of this man today (I guess he is Lou, not Amy? :-) ) . He is the definition of customer focussed and I will definitely come back (even though I live miles away!). Please thank him from me and shop here when you can!

Been going here for 5 years and I simply wouldn't buy fruit and veg anywhere else - that should say all you need to know!

Great fruit and vegetables at really really good prices. A traditional, friendly greengrocer that definitely knows his produce. We wouldn't dream of going anywhere else.

In these days of hypermarkets it's good to find a small traditional high street business, that looks, feels , tastes, competes and beats the big boys ( Waitrose is almost next door) For fantastic service and excellent fresh produce - why would you go anywhere else !!
