Cafe In The Forest

we have always gone to the café in the forest several times a year NEVER again. It has changed hands OBVIOUSLY. it was 2.30 on Sunday 16th November, 4 staff on and not really that busy. However, all the tables were dirty and sticky and some still had pots on. The young polish? boy was working his socks off and a youngish girl came in and signalled she was going for a cigarette- great she could of cleaned the tables! The homemade cakes and scones were tulip muffins from the local wholesaler that come in frozen and are cheap and nasty. The scone could of passed for home made but then the jam was a rubbish portion rectangle that is the cheapest coronet jam SO DISAPPOINTING. There were a few very greasy sausage rolls and they advertised Red Bush tea- all was saved- and then the guy said sorry we mean decaf NOT THE SAME. Coffee was lousy and we paid £17 for rubbish. The crows outside were pulling bits of food off of the dirty tables as well. We have changed our destination and if we go to Grizedale we will bring our own food
