Having camped locally we used the Wilson's Arms over the weekend, the beer garden is epic. Great service and great food, having read the last review maybe they had a problem with one of their food warmers as ours could have been hotter, but it didn't take away from the meal (and we are Cumbrians and just get on with it😂). The chap that came in with his wife, ordered food and polished it all off then complained about it and everything else just to get out of paying was a total Richard, though the staff handled him very professionally, even in the face of a very unpleasant little man.

We stayed on a serviced pitch here in our campervan just overnight. It was fabulous. Great location, wonderful staff, lovely grounds, great food and very good value for money. There was even an Elsan point. Only downside that would preclude me stopping more than one night was lack of shower facilities so will be back when those renovations are complete. Would highly recommend to others

Had a lovely long weekend in Torver, the accommodation was clean and comfortable, it had a large copper bath and monsoon shower in the room, lovely mountain view, flat screen TV and tea and coffee making facilities. Restaurant was exceptional and staff were friendly

Fantastic pub experience with very friendly and welcoming staff. Food and drink menu is great. We only stopped for a drink during our walk around Torver. Torver Deli next door.

Popped in last minute for a meal. Provided a table quickly even though it was busy. Nice choice of food. I had a steak. Really nice piece of meat. My son enjoyed his macaroni cheese and garlic bread. No room for puddings! Nice atmosphere and beautiful setting.

We ate here twice over two nights, and both times were excellent. The service and atmosphere was great. The food was lovely. We had mini fish and chips, and the leg of lamb was melt in the mouth. They also sat us next to the log fire, which made for a cosy, country feel. Would definitely visit again.

We stayed in the shepherd huts behind the Wilson Arms and it was absolutely fantastic. We ate in the pub on both nights of our stay and the food was absolutely fantastic. The beer was great, the staff were helpful and the whole place had a lovely, friendly feel. I would recommend this pub to anyone who is in the area.

Called for a meal, didn't stay over. Looks really good. They were very busy and managed to squeeze us in for some food, which was very good. So thanks for feeding 2 hungry walkers and we'll call again.

Stayed in the shepherds huts . Very comfortable but very limited kitchen equipment for cooking. Lovely and snug and wood fired hot tubs easy to fire up and run. Excellent smart TV with great WiFi for snuggling in to watch a movie after the pub.
The pub was glorious, food lovely and again the roaring log fires were delightful. Beers on offer were lovely and the service was friendly and attentive.
Three mile flattish off road walk to Coniston, take a torch just in case!
Would stay again and maybe try the cottages for more space.

We met up here Saturday lunchtime for a meal that we pre ordered...due to the number of us.
Great indoor and outdoor space and friendly service.
Scotch egg....a taste sensation.
Decent gammon, egg and pineapple.
The chips are far far better than they look.
The lamb shank is plentiful, quality, but could have done with a little seasoning and crisping up a little on the outside....the accompanying mash and vegetables were fantastic.
We were a little nervous regarding a previous review about the quantity of steak in the pie but we needn't have been, all good.
The sticky toffee pudding with ice cream was indeed tasty but needed a little more Ice cream.
Great dog friendly establishment.
